calling scripts

i am EXTREMELY confused.



i am just trying to use the Window_NameInput script that comes with RMXP, and i don't know how to call it.

i have tried just "Window_NameInput" & "$window = Window_NameInput"

i am not even sure if that is close though

someone help plz!

I believe name input processing is an event command. There's no need to create the windows manually through scripting calls. Besides Window_NameInput only provides the characters that can be in your name, I think you'd want Window_NameEdit too which allows you to actually edit a name. I never really had much luck creating windows from the 'Call script..' event command. Mainly because of losing scope and the inability to update them properly.

If you're calling from a script, use
$scene = Scene_Name.new
