Calling all graphic artists! RMXP.org needs you.

You're all probably aware of the Project Wonderful ads in the top corner of the site. Well, it's about time that we do some of our own!

You've heard me right, we're going to start spreading advertisements for RMXP.org all over the internet using the service provided by Project Wonderful. And I figured that this would be a great time to get our artistic community involved.

Help create some ads for us to use. The best ads will be seen on other sites and the goal is to draw in new members. Here are some tipcs for you:

  • The name/url "RMXP.org" should be prominent.
  • Use bright colors that get a viewer's attention.
  • Use a "hook" that both explains this site as well as would attract new members.
  • Consider the audience. Most people don't know what RMXP is.
  • Consider the audience again. A lot of webcomics use PW ads, and it's those kinds of sites that we'll be advertising on. Who reads webcomics and what would attract them to RMXP.org?

Here's an example one that I made the other day.

Personally I think that "Make games!" or something similar as a prominent feature of the ad is a good way to draw people in and explain what RMXP is at the same time.

An important thing to remember is the size of the images. Use the PW Templates page for dimension details.

Good luck and have fun. :)

But the question is whether or not we'd be allowed to use those facesets in an ad, since no one affiliated with the forums themselves made them. I don't know a lot about legal stuff, so I'm gonna have to ask someone else for input on this. It kind of smacks of some kind of legal gray area, though.
