C&C please. I only started exploring Photoshop yesterday.

I was aiming for simplicity for this one simply because I hate over-elaborate title screens. I like to keep the background blank and work only on the logo.

Well, if that's your goal, you certainly accomplished it. I agree with you on elaborate title screens. The title is not supposed to be more interesting than the game. However, the title is supposed to draw in people. Your title might be just a little too simple, sort of like mine. Only a little though. I would go with it.

If you are trying to go for a final fantasy background splash image, you don't need to emboss or any other effects other than a linear gradient and maybe a white inner and outer glow to blend better.

The aspects I like about it the most are the colors of the background graphic and the runes. I'm not so sure about the green subtitle though.

Well here is what I was trying to explain, but you are getting down to the point with it, if you do a splash and want to shoot for an FF title look, use a white background... Like so.

I think I orignally did use a white background. Check the first post. I don't know what happened though.

Also, the splash looks a little 2 blurry. Would sharpen help?

that's why I suggested adding an inner and outter glow. I think it would help soften it without sharpening it.

Oh and just to clarify on the title, it's pronounced "Ragnarok". I changed it to Old Norse for legal reasons ( 2 many Ragnaroks running around out there) and because Norse words are more appropriate when you are making a game about the end of the Viking cosmos. A little more juicy than English, dontcha think?

I would try adding just a slight, white or bright outline to the text. Other than that, this looks great. Simple and effective!  :thumb:

I think background is good, but text is too simple.

I added a 1 pixel white stroke around the text.
