C & C on my sprite, please :)

Hello everyone. I would like some C &C on this sprite of mine. Everything is done by me aside from the hair on him. The hair is originally from MarcGraubra, I recolored and resized some of them. And yes, I have his consent to post this. I made sure of it. Anyway, back to the topic at hand, here it is -

Again: The hair is not originally mine.

Tell me what you think.

(A little FYI, his name is Jean Claude for a game I am in the midst of making)

Do not use this sprite, I only want C & C on it. Thanks!

Well Here I go. Its a good sprite. But the cape on the back sprite looks weel solid and funny shaped (only slightly). If you look at capes on the real rmxp sprites their capes are different. There are tutorials on capes. Other then a good sprite 6/10 (If its your first sprite 8/10)

It needs quite a bit more shading, especially in the hair, which appears a lot darker in the down pose than it does everywhere else.
Also, as windsaver has already pointed out, the cape in the up pose looks a bit strange.  It adheres to the feet too much.

It's not bad though.  Not bad at all.

put something on a friend as a cape try using thin cloth and see how the shade forms, imitate it. the shading needs more contrast, show us ur pallette

Thank you for your input, and where can I find these tutorials?  This is my second sprite.

Hrm, could be a little more specific?

Yeah, I see what you mean by the hair. I like the way the cape adheres to the foot in the back, however, the foot that is stepping forward does need some work.

What do you mean by 'contrast'? Less pixels fading into the shading itself? I don't use a pallette. I go by the way it looks.

i agree. it looks good... just a bit more fluidity on the cape

Mmhmm. I agree, however, I like the idle poses. But the movement poses need some work. Any suggestions?
