so with the new IE7 are you still using firefox? I used to love firefox, in fact I like the fact it just attacked one of the endless microsoft "monopolies". even tough when it comes to user share rate IE still wins by over 50% (according to wiki). however, I'm back to using IE.
the reason, it uses less memory than firefox. check yourself by doing ctrl+alt+tab. now, for some, this is like..."so?" but for me that I'm on laptop and running 239482734823042384230482498230574308234 applications it means a lot. I'm happy I take longer to "lag" but im sad for using IE7.
it's a RIPOFF. its a damn firefox, tabbed browsing is what made me wtf.

I think it's safe to say that Mozilla is far superior to IE. Opera seems okay. Never tried Safari or any others.

Firefox crashes my computer. So I think I will stick to IE. I got good protection anyway (I haven't gotten one virus/adware/hacker/anythingbad in like 2 years!)

Myonosken, that isn't a big deal unless you're using tables for layouts (which is a pretty big nono when it comes to accessible, search engine friendly design). You are right about how fucking horrible it is at rendering things properly though. It's really the only one that you need to seriously worry about when designing a page, though Mozilla has a surprising amount of quirks (though usually something minor like phantom whitespace).

Maybe he means CPU? ("processor memory" is pretty vague here) Also it is pretty crazy that you are already using FireFox 3.0. It's like a year away from a final release.

Slightly on topic: If you want to use less resources, USE OPERA. It's fucking slim. The interface is a little mediocre, but it will use like no resources whatsoever.

For the record, I just downloaded the alpha version of Firefox 3 earlier this afternoon...and I must say that it needs a lot of work (interface wise). Still haven't seen any noticeable bugs. Unfortunately I needed to uninstall it because it conflicting graphically with my current theme.

Anywho, I use Firefox because I have had problems with popups (spyware, adware) while using IE in the past. I also prefer the overall feel of Firefox to IE because of the simplistic nature of the browser.

I use Opera. At first it was because IE and FF made my computer go nuts, but I still use it now because I like the way it does tab browsing. Pretty convenient.

I use opera, or as my friend calls it, 'Oprah.'
I find it better then IE cause it has tabs, and better than FF cos' it's faster

I've used IE, Firefox, and Opera before and I must say that Firefox works for me the best. So I stuck with it. Whenever I close an IE window I get a bunch of popup shortcuts on my desktop, so no thanks to that. :P

I'm an IE7 user. I just never liked the way Firefox looked or felt, and it always seemed to run so slow.

I dunno, I just don't like it.

Never used Opera!

Lol i used Visual Basics Express! But its still in the progress of being made, btw it is not as fancy as firefox and all of that :D it doesnt have popup blockers and all that. So if i do decide to post it dont yell at me for it being crappy, because it will have alot more features once i learn to do more things for VB.
