Broken Armor

Alright, this is my first ever song in Cubase SX 3 so don't comment on the mixing and / or timing mistakes. I originally got the idea of this song while playing Metal Gear Solid, but got sick of it's utter neutrality. All comments and criticism is very much appreciated.

Link to song.

Hey it's nice to hear something from you. Also it sounds great, though not being a musician of any sort I can't say much else. o:b

This is a very nice song, sounds like it could be used in a romantic (at least semi-romantic) part of a game. (The beginning of it could, I mean.)

Wow! Cool song. This sounds like something out of Age of Empires or something :'D. Don't worry, that's a good thing, I love those tunes.

Most impressive as always, Far. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the mixing and timing, you're being paranoid. This is probably the best I've heard from you.

I like the soft percussions in the background. The dynamics on them are outstanding, so kudos on that. Another thing you did well was the compilation of the horns and strings, that really made the song for me.

Anyway excellent piece.

Very cool... I like this piece. It is very much in the style of Metal Gear.

The piece is pretty sound as far as structure goes, and the mixing sounds fine as well. This is an awesome piece. The only thing that I thought was lacking was a good melody. The piece is completely lacking a melody.

Of course, that's not to say that it has to have one. This piece stands well enough without one.

I don't recall what your previous username was... I'm sure I know who you are, but your current username doesn't ring any bells. In any case, great work!

(Oh, and early happy birthday!)
