Does anyone know where I can find some mapping tutorials for the breeze style tilesets? Mainly the caves, as those are the ones I'm having the most trouble with. If anyone know hows to map the caves, show me please!
Well, I doubt much, if any are around. however, I guess it'll just take some detemination and experience to learn how to do it. General mapping tutorials, like tindy's, should help, as mapping should be like that anyhow. There are a lot, lot less breeze users than rtp, so sorry bout this.
Daxis is right there, practice and see what you think works. If in doubt, post it in the screen shot thread and get feedback on how you work it.
A cave is a cave after all there's no real consistent or one way you can map them, they're random and something not normally man made (yes mines and such are the exception), as long as you've got a nice flow to it and a few carrots on a stick showing it'd be fine.
Following mapping tutorials will show you how other people map but you'd really need to get used to doing it yourself because you can't always follow a guide when it comes to doing something you'd need to add alot of variation to. (I'd still like to think that people have their own way of using tiles and creating maps)
It seems like a standard tileset to be able to edit and include your own content and things that you feel are missing, so perhaps that thread on spriting will assist you.
