Dead Content BrainStorm (Puzzle adventure, with demo!)

Dead content awaiting restoration.
BRAINSTORM
(NEWSFLASH! Version 1.2 is up. Now error free! Enjoy!)

BrainStorm is my little demonchild. It started out as a small project where I could event things I came up with. With other words, not a real game. After a while, I had a lot of these "puzzles", so I decided to link them together, create a story and see how it goes! Now I'm not done yet, in fact, not even close.
My RPG maker knowledge is, well, not good, so it's not a very WOOSHY WOOSH-ish kinda game. I know some things could be better, but don't take this game very seriously. I didn't :D

The gameplay is simple. You solve puzzles, that can be all from Riddles to classic block pushing. After you complete a stage, you gain gold, and you get to the world map where you can select the next stage. The gold is used in the shop, where you can buy useless, yet fun stuff.

STORY:

To start with, the story isn't very much. "You wake up in someones basement. You can't remember who you are, why you are here or where you are. After you escape, you set out on a journey to find your identity and kidnapper." (Cliche!) The story advances when you play though. You regain some memory, and you learn more about your captor as you go through his cruel tests.

Characters:
John Doe:
AGE: who knows? Not him
Gender: Male. I think
Now this is our hero. Our amnesia guy. Wait, doesn't he look like someone I know? hm.. no, wait. I can't be. Silly me :D

Now you meet a lot of characters throughout the game, some minor, some major, but I can't reveal them here. Or else I spoil the plot.

Features:
Now, the demo doesn't have any of these features, but In my mroe complete version (and in my head), I have these features:
-A city with shop (Done)
-Your very own room (In progress)
-A farm, where you can play with animals (Useless feature, but fun. In progress)
-Using a boat. This will be used to get access to stages thats off limit without a boat. (In progress)

Find all the hidden notes to unlock the next puzzle. :O

Demo:

(I'm not very happy with the demo, to be honest. It's kinda.. tame. The more complete version has more fun puzzles, humor and graphics, and the demo don't really show anything of the stuff I have been working hard on. So please, look for the full version, it will kick so much behind.)

Credits:
read the text file in the demo folder.
Scripts used:
Slipknot message system-by slipknot
Detailed Items-by Arevulopapo
Event icons-by Sandgolem
MOG map name-by Moghunter.

NOTE: Enjoy the demo. I hope you enjoy the game, and understand my weird humor. This is one of my first games, well, my first released game. It would be fun to remake this game, or maybe make a sequel sometime when I master RPG maker. Please give feedback, and report bugs/errors.

nice, finished demo, i easily did the code thing, the DGB thing, wont tell others how to unless they beg me, dont worry, i wont leak it.

Hi there!  I just finished playing "Professor Layton and the Curious Village" on DS (and enjoyed it for the most part), so it's cool to see someone here using rmxp to make a puzzle rpg.  I also like how you poke fun of yourself with the "cliche" comment, hehe :)

Anyways, I'll keep an eye out for the full version!
