Bookmark hbgames.org please

I brought this up when hbgames.org was purchased in the first place; however, you might want to take this time to update the links on your own pages that point to rmxp.org. Namely those links on the index which are 'who this board is moderated by' links. They link to rmxp.org.

I'm sure there's other areas that you don't know of that link there, just as a precaution. Another area RMXP.org is mentioned is in the forum's template, which appears to add it to the meta-tags.

Thanks for the heads up, though it would be helpful if you could say what bits are broken that you know about :3 otherwise we'll undoubtedly miss some.

Searching the forums for "rmxp.org" brings up 1,400 pages of results so obviously the domain still means something.

I recommend that, if at all possible, you try to make a server side bot that automatically sifts through every hyperlink in the site and changes ones pointing to the base domain "rmxp.org" so that they point to the base domain "hbgames.org". It's just a thought, and I'm not sure how plausible it is, especially with the abilities of the current staff. (Although, if you do decide to do that, I recommend testing it on a backup first, to make sure you didn't screw anything up)

umm i can make a bot but tbh i'm not wasting my time making a bot for that.

Why not? After the rmxp.org domain is transferred, the majority of hyperlinks on the site (usually from one thread to another) will go dead unless redirected to the hbgames.org domain instead.

Hardly the majority. Their aren't enough internal links to justify coding a bot. It'll take a few moderators a few minutes to change them.

Jeez. I've been gone a while and I come back to .ORG losing it's name? What happened to the reign of Erk and ccoa? Wasn't the point of calling it ".ORG" so you wouldn't get confused by saying RMXP for both the game and the site? What's HBGames stand for anyway? What kind of price is TREG drilling you for? People, I don't mean to be like this, but this site has seen better days.

Home Brewed games. You can still call it .org though. Most of us do anyway. Let's not bring up old business of prior administrations, though. Past is passed. TREG isn't gouging us, he's just not interested in selling it to us. Which is his right. Frankly I think the site is fine regardless of the status of the rmxp domain.
