In all seriousness rmxp.org is going to be transferred to another owner so the redirect will no longer work soon. If you've never updated your bookmarks since the rmxp.org days, now is the time to do so. In the near future rmxp.org will take you to some other site unaffiliated with this one.

I've done one better. I've changed my hosts file to reflect this, so RMXP.org will(probably) still go here.

Any word on when this is happening?

i own the url and it is going to be a small rmxp resource site with a small forum run by despain. rmxp.org didn't even appear on the search results for rmxp anymore, so it's not going to hurt hbgames.

also i've got to preemptively warn you guys that this is gonna be a drama-free transition! no "depain stole the kingdom" stuff this time around. the hbgames.org administration made the decision months ago to drop the rmxp.org domain. there's been plenty of time for everybody to get used to the change. treg and i have a tremendous amount of experience in this community (remember?) and i know what i'm doing despite my rep and gimmicky persona. be glad that someone who actually gives a shit is going to be using the domain and that it's not being sold off to some ad company.

I don't get why your opening this can of worms in this way but I want to clarify some things.

1. TREG has always been the sole owner of the rmxp.org domain.
2. At no time did any of the staff ever wish to sell the domain to an ad service.
3. When TREG mentioned his desire to redirect the domain away from hbgames, we offered to buy it outright, or at least match Des' deal.
4. After which Treg was like let me think about it, and disappeared for a month. This was late August.
5. TREG finally reappears Septmber 30th and is all like I still don't know let me see if des still even wants it.
6. Oct. 10th he finally comes in with a decision to send it to Des.

To put it plainly TREG left us with nothing but uncertainty concerning this issue for the past two months.

However much its owner is willing to part with it for. We made various offers. TREG wasn't interested in entertaining them, and its his right to do so. I think it's fair to leave it at that.
