Blu Ray news in PCWorld magazine

Wouldn't be, unless it's the same technology, and there's something wrong with the B.R readers, which then would mean the PS3 would be delayed also.

Sony is only one of like 8 people making Blu-ray players.

Blu-ray players themselves, just like the first DVD players, are really big, but that doesn't mean in three years they won't be hardly bigger than the disks themselves, and a slim PS3 may not be too far behind.

I saw a BR Player, Samsung I think, at Circuit City, and it was all grainy...Compared to the DVD Player, it didn't stand a chance.
However, that article Kest posted says that it did look good for like a trailer or something, so I have high hopes. :D
Plus I doubt anything'll beat Blu Ray for awhile, since they can hold soo much more than DVD's, they'll at least be good for something.

How can you type this when the article basically said it was a disappointment, and to wait until well after release before deciding to purchase so that it's a bit more polished?

They said specifically in the article that the problem wasn't the player or the disk media, but that the video simply wasn't filmed in HD, and for sources not filmed in HD that a DVD player that upscales is better, because it produces the same image quality for less money.

They then mentioned that Underworld, which was filmed in HD, looked perfect.

Once again, nothing wrong with the player or the format - it's the movies.
