The Blood House is my first project and was created on June 15, 2010. What led me to create it was my great interest in the supernatural, ghost stories, images of spirits and paranormal investigations. I like to watch horror movies late at night, and watched one of those movies, "The Grudge", inspired me. So why not use elements of suspense, mystery and reasoning in a game? On this page you will learn more about this project.

Based on the blockbuster "The Grudge", the game tells the story of a naturalized Japanese student, Yoko, who is dedicated to social inclusion work in the United States. With hard work, winning the money needed to buy a house and move out of Japan. Yoko, with luck, instead of a house is a mansion whose price was very cheap and was close to your workplace. The perfect opportunity was there! Yoko buys mansion, but is messy and smelly.

Over time, Yoko eventually realize that something evil lives behind the walls of the mansion.

Bill, a father, turned nights in bars, smoking and drinking to relieve themselves of daily stress. But that night was that the tragedy happened. Bill arrived at his mansion, while his family slept. Kevin, his son, and Hannah his wife. Bill entered the room and choked his wife, apparently without cause, with a plastic bag. Soon after, entered the bedroom of her son, Kevin. With the knife that was in your left pocket, cut the throat of his son, painfully and violently, with no signs of repentance.

Before dawn, Bill fled the city, leaving memories evil to all corners of the mansion...

In short, "Blood House" balances elements of mystery and reasoning. There will be moments of action, where the player will exorcisms, and moments of tension, where the player is trapped in darkness. Exorcisms, among other events, are interspersed with the exploration of the house, hiding items in places difficult to see and clever puzzles that test the player's intellect. The interaction between background and character is very high so that the player is obliged to exlorer any environment where it is located.

Exorcism

In order to perform an exorcism, the player must have the items necessary for its realization: the Bible, crucifix and holy water. Having these items, just press a sequence of commands pre-determined before the time runs out. The system of Exorcism is very dynamic. Yoko throw holy water in the spirit, while it will read excerpts from the Bible. When the spirit is stunned, Yoko hold the crucifix on his forehead. But if time runs out or the player missing a command, Yoko lose the battle.

Exploration

The game environment is very interactive. This makes the player is obliged to explore every corner of the house, looking for answers. Items can be hidden in places you would not believe, in places difficult to see. Every detail must be carefully investigated. A mark on the ground, a sheet of paper stuck in the closet, opened a drawer, can trigger a puzzle that will influence the later completion of the puzzle. So, it's a tip: press Enter on everything that seems interesting.

Lighting

The element of suspense that keeps you from start to finish the game. Indenpendente to be light or dark, you know "those things" are there. There will be times when more "quiet", where the lighting during the game is clear, however, other times there will be more "tense", where the player will witness power cuts, often times that will use the flashlight or exorcisms. In the game, using the flashlight is essential. Without it, there is no play. Find it quickly! The script was created by Fabien.

Puzzles

To complete this game will need much patience and logical reasoning. There are puzzles that really test the player's intellect. Play "Blood House" will make you think better. Puzzles are all over the mansion, and are crucial for the discovery of some fact. The important thing is not to give up if you stop in any of them. Some time the answer comes to mind.

Yoko

Biography:
Before birth, Yoko's parents traveled to Japan looking for a better and more peaceful than the U.S., seeking a better future for her daughter to come. Yoko was growing within the Japanese culture, but her parents liked the American culture. When Yoko became a teenager, his parents decided to travel back to the U.S., Japanese culture was no longer what they wanted to Yoko.

Yoko the age of 18 he entered college and, over time, was getting used to the U.S., a student with a lot of determination and willpower, always had great results in their work and courage was not one thing was missing-you, besides being humorous. At 20 he began working with social inclusion, which at 21, through hard work and with the help of parents, got enough money to buy a home, but Yoko is a cheap mansion, close to your workplace. It was very suspicious to buy a mansion for as low, but it was a good opportunity! But Yoko did not know what was going on inside of the mansion ...

Is determined and brave, but she will be able to overcome fear?

Biography:
Edward has a tragic childhood. At 13 years old, his father died in a serious crash on a business trip to Germany, that shook him psychologically, and he always had his father in his darkest hours. His mother, over time, acquired a disease that always required the support of medical equipment around, making Edward go live with his grandfather.

Edward always heard bizarre stories of his grandfather, as supernatural phenomena, the occult, among others, but what else was terrified Edward Yurei legend, in which were the ghosts of Japanese beliefs. 4 years later, when Edward turned 17, his mother succumbed to illness and died. Edward only had his grandfather. Apparently a hereditary disease, every member of his family had died of natural causes.

Today, at age 25, serves the U.S. Army.

I want to see how that exorcism system works, that might really be cool. Your maps have a good atmosphere but are a bit big and empty. Anyway, nice project, i will happily try it out when it's released.
 
I've been looking through the image gallery - this looks very nice. The maps are spacious but not empty. It would be nicer if you could post them here though; people would be more likely to respond too. People are generally lazy when it comes to clicking through to another site to see the images.
