Exactly. I like to see what people are working on, regardless of a relative interest. You shouldn't try and defend the game or yourself, but should try and take the compliments and suggestions into consideration.
 
Not that bad. It's rather bare and open. You should correct these things:

1.) Shadows like this do not belong in the middle of a wall, they belong in wall sections parallel to wall endings BUT behind them, to show the closer walls shadow.

2.) These trees clash horribly with everything else.
 
This doesn't look bad, the map is good but I don't see it relating to Bleach in any way, of course, unless you meant it only as an example of your mapping not from the game then that doesn't matter.

Playing a game that will be 100% of the storyline bar from the one sidequest, story, secret would be boring especially if it's turn based battle as it looks to be now. Using the 'Tales of...' battle system would be much more exciting.

Also if this is a project thread and not a concept development one more information wouldn't hurt, at least on the systems you would be using.

You said you'd post a good map from the game, don't post another test map then. Also the Tales of battle system, If you can't find it on the site I'll upload it somewhere but mines rather editted so it'd be best to get a clean one. It is awesome though.

Kinda reminds me of something in the flashback episode about that one girl who was Aizen's vice captain, actually.

The big challenge will be making some of the areas interesting, a lot of the locations in Bleach are very plain (to make them easier to animate when the characters are racing along at super speeds) so that really works against you.

Minor character focus sounds interesting, problem is, so little is shown of those guys that there's barely any powers to play with, and those that are known are a bit vague or limited. I'd love to know how you'd work in something like that sword that doubles the weight of whatever it strikes.
 
Minor characters focus is simple, just make up stuff. The abilities of most vice captains and what they're thinking has been shown further on in the series so adding depth relating to that in the Soul Society arc wouldn't be hard. Just use Wikipedia to look stuff up.

I think I have a clean version of the tales of battle system as well, it should be zipped in my recycle bin, unless I emptied it. I'll check and see.
 
For Kira's Zanpakuto(The one that adds the weight) I might add a slow effect, also it'd be great to get the tales of system, and I might go about making up some skills for some characters however further in the manga more has been shown so I might use stuff from that far aswel.

Maybe you made an honest mistake here, but YOU POSTED A SCREENSHOT FROM MY GAME,  "Blacksmith's Apprentice".  I suppose it's sort of a compliment that you would choose to steal from my game...  I'm notifying the mods on this one.
