Buried deep beneath the earth, scholars have always theorized that there would be lava--but inside the mines of one town, they found a forest inhabited by strange creatures.
Naturally, this drew the attention of everyone, but because of the beasts, no one was able to get far. Thus, a proclamation was made calling forth the strongest adventurers in the land to uncover the truth behind the mysterious labryinth.
You yourself are such an adventurer...

Author's Notes:

This game has actually been in production for a while, but it was only recently that I jumped back into the mix and cranked this demo out. Hmm, there isn't much I want to say besides I will need help beta-ing this. I've tried to kill any and all bugs, but there's no telling what I've missed--especially with the battle system.

So, if you have any crashes or the like, please tell me ASAP so I can upload a fixed demo. Another thing I'll need help with is balancing. Right now, this game is DESIGNED to be hard, so unless you feel its necessary, only then will that change. But no, what I need help is balancing the various skills and classes. If you think a skill is too weak, costs to much TP or you think Hunter's have low default stat growth, tell me! They will help ENORMOUSLY.

One final thing: half the scripts in the game were created by myself, but until this game is finished or the game is dropped, I won't be releasing them. Sorry!

Edit: There ^_^ I knew you could do it. I'll try to play sometime. I'm going through something called "Creator's Rage" where I try to make new ideas... got to stick to Essence or Audria... Wait no one knows about Audria!!

A little critique:

--- Your maps need toooons of work. They are way to "Spacey." Try to make smaller maps and fill in more space. Check mapping tutorials?
---Scripts & Graphics look pretty good.
 
I got a few bugs. First, at one point when I loaded the game only the leader was at the right place, the other character were displaced. The problem solved itself once I left the church. However, last time I tried to load this happened:

I have not been able to load that file since then.

Also, the quest where you're supposed to hand in ores to the blacksmith checks for the precise amount of ores, if you have more than required the blacksmith won't consider the quest done.

It's has been rather fun though. I have made what I think is a balanced party. However, my "I'd be better of with two Crusaders and two warriors" senses are tingling. I check it out later if I can load the game.

The current work-around for this is that you;
1. start a new game (go through the whole intro and such)
2. Exit to title screen
3. Load your saved game

The caterpillar formation will be a bit scrambled in the church but as soon as you leave the map it will be fixed.

Unfortunately, I have encountered another game crashing bug. This one happens when a character is hit by a status effect he/she already has. It has happened twice now. Since you can't save anywhere and even if you could, it takes at least half a minute to load the file thanks to requiring a work-around, this is really bad.

Anyway, I tried a party consisting of four Crusaders. It was like playing easy mode. This is one of the games where healing is the only actual worthwhile skill and crusaders got both that and good defense. The other classes does look interesting though, so it's a pity the balance is off.
