But seriously? Probably anything from the Mother series, especially Mother 3. I also like the Super Smash Bros. games and Metroid games.

Suikoden II is still one of my all time favorites.
Final Fantasy 4 (2us) is my all time favorite classic.
I mean don't get me wrong I really liked Chrono Trigger and FF6, but c'mon.  FF4 kicks both their asses in a handicap.  And Suikoden II is probably one of the few games to contend with FF4 in my head.

1) DEFFENLY ! Shadow hearts 2 : covenant ... ( 'nuff said .. koudelka , SH1 , SH3 : FTNW cant even come close tho this one) ..

2)Star ocean 3 : till end of time .. (500 hours gameplay if you go for battle trophies ..)

Here's a question out of the Q&A faction ...

Q. This is taking forever, how long does it take to get all the BTs?
A. To get absolutely all the BTs will take you no less than 500 hours
(realistically probably 600-700).  If you ignore the ridiculous ones like
50,000 battles etc you can get them all in around 250 hours.  I highly
recommend using Marty81’s ‘quick walkthrough’ posted in the stickied thread
on the GameFAQ forums to finish subsequent playthroughs in an efficient
manner.

3) Devil may cry 4 (this one over dmc1 because of the devil bringer/buster)

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. The innovative gameplay (first game to utilize ingame, real-time time control, I believe). Plus, the Prince's character was fantastic, and his chemistry with Farrah was a good chunk of why it was such an amazing experience.

Final Fantasy 7- Great story, wonderful music, balanced and fun battle system that allowed for crazy character customization. Not much else to say. I want a remake someday.

The Legend of Dragoon- An (in my opinion) very under appreciated RPG Sony put out in the final days of the playstation. It was far from revolutionary, but I really fell in love with the art style, the music, and the world. I REALLY hope they get a sequel out someday.

Starcraft- I must have logged hundreds of hours in this game. The best strategy game I've ever played.
