Best DS Games?

Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan!,Actually I do know about that game, its the japanese version of EBA for the DS

and since I mentioned it

Title: Elite Beat Agents
Genre: Rhythm / Music
Online: No, but you can use the short range wifi
Why: Uber fun! Awesome hairstyles and many well known songs

With psychotic terrorists (ie- wanting to blow up Eternia city) for a renegade group, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl wins.

Title: Final Fantasy IV DS (Japan only... but when it comes out in America)
Genre: JRPG
Why you think it's good: New system called the Decant system which allows for customization. And it's a FF game.
Does it have online/Wifi capabilities: No.

Title: New Super Mario Bros.
Genre: Adventure Side Scroller
Why you think it's good: It's Mario! And it's fun.
Does it have online/Wifi capabilities: No.

Title: Final Fantasy III DS
Genre: RPG
Why you think it's good: Old school goodness with new graphics. Jobs are awesome.
Does it have online/Wifi capabilities: I guess, if you count... mailing...

Title: Meteos
Genre: Puzzle
Why you think it's good: It's different from pretty much everything else. Using the stylus is really intuitive too, lots of things to unlock. Really fun too.
Online: Nope.

lol ff

WHY IT'S GOOD: It's the next Pokemon game. The monsters in this one actually look as good as Red/Blue Gold/Silver. (I HATED the Hoenn region)

i wouldn't say that. gen4's designs are DEFINITELY a HUGE step up from gen3 but it's nowhere near gen2's design level.

but yeah d/p is easily the best game on the DS. not only is it POKEMON, it has the whole COMPETITIVE BATTLING thing down really solidly (much better than netbattle or shoddy or whatever). also the gts is gr8.

Agreed. But diamond and pearl are my second favourites to gold/silver/crystal. Even when you beat g/s/c, there was so much mystery to uncover which was enchanting for a 12 year old. Anyways, no one's mention Kirby Canvas Curse.

Name: Kirby Canvas Curse
Genre: Platformer?
Why it's good: For a Kirby lover, although the gameplay is different to traditional Kirby, it maintains the same Kirby elements such as enemies (music especially!), replayability factor etc. The game has a lot to search for, and story mode to complete many times after with other characters, as well as side-games that help to unlock more secrets. Touch controls work well, and it's not the easiest game out there... By Kirby standards it's pretty hard.
Online: I don't think so

New Super Mario Brothers is mad fun. I've rencently begun searching out every gold coin. I've finished every world except world 8. The minigames are pretty fun too, and it has multiplayer.

Title: Animal Crossing: Wild World.

Genre: Um, closer to RPG more than anything else. Except it isn't an RPG. You don't go up levels, you own a house and pretty much you upgrade that. Has a distant partnership with Harvest Moon?

Why you think it's good?: Because it is. Copied from a site:

Players move into a living, breathing world inside the Nintendo DS...and then invite their friends to visit from anywhere on earth. In Animal Crossing: Wild World, the sequel to the popular Nintendo GameCube game, players and up to three friends can hang out in the same village and interact in real time -- either through wireless LAN or over Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Now players can visit a friend's village from thousands of miles away. The touch screen makes item management and world navigation a breeze. Typing letters and designing patterns are now just stylus strokes away. Days and seasons pass in real time, so whether players want to decorate their homes, catch bugs or fish, collect brand-new items like hats and sunglasses or just chat with the wild and wacky characters in their villages, there's always something to do.

Does it have online/Wifi capabilities: Yep. If there's two people with the game (separate DS'es), you can travel to each others towns, either wreaking havoc (eg. killing flowers, chopping down trees and telling the residents how much you hate them) or going for a stroll through their museum, taking a gander at their shops, house or visiting neighbours. Oh, and you can go online and visit people in different countries.

If you see it, buy it. You most definitely won't regret it. I think it was better than Pokemon D/P. And yes, I do own them. *blushes*

I just realized that I hate my DS.

Is that bad?

Only games I've really enjoyed are the Ace Attorney series, New Super Mario Bros (although, Mario 64 DS was okay), Harvest Moon DS/Rune Factory (I will buy harvest moons game until the day I die), and Revenant Wings (It's actually a good game!) All of these have been mentioned, though. I didn't really dig FFIII, mostly because the story progression is silly, and Zelda DS... well, I haven't really played it much yet.

Front Mission DS is next on my list... Is it any good?

I've never played the game, but here's the IGN review.

It actually looks pretty good...

There hasn't been a decent game on DS (for the hardcore gamer) since Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. I can't remember what else I wrote because my edit didn't register. But the rest said something along the lines of...

It's not bad you hate the DS, I don't condemn you for it. There's just not enough to cater for the hardcore gamer yada yada. I don't care anymore.

Rune Factory 2 is only out in Japan.

Anyways I just got my DS up and going yesterday. (It's powder pink :D)

So far I am really digging Children of Mana, Heroes of Mana, Revenant Wings, New Super Mario Brothers, Mario and Luigi Partner's in Time, Final Fantasy 3 DS, Megaman ZX/ZX Advent, and Mario Kart DS. Also, Sim City DS is wickedsweet, too.

The only game I have been completely dissapointed with so far is Pokemon Pearl/Diamond. The game runs slower than when I tried emulating it on my PC (DS Emulators all pretty much suck.) It's sick, and depraved. And I choose not to play a game where it takes more than a couple minutes (5+) for a single random encounter at level 6.

thats true about pokemon. its good but it runs to slow...

You're missing out on a good game then... unless Pokemon isn't your thing. Patience is an acquired taste.

I hated Children of Mana. There was just something... I dunno, the whole time I was playing, I wanted to kill myself.

Probably because it's a boring dungeon hack game when there are tons of better games in the genre available.

Hit the nail on the head. Was Heroes of Mana any better? Haven't played Revenant Wings yet, but I'm getting it soon and have heard very good things. People's opinions?

It's honestly no better.  Instead of a boring dungeon hack it's a boring RTS game.  As an RTS, it actually brings a lot of good ideas to the table but the AI is downright retarded and you babysit your units more than you actually play the game.

no it doesn't. well, maybe if you're using a team full of metapods.

if you're impatient, and i am, just turn off the battle animation. i did, and every battle takes less than half the time it usually would.
