Well, you should at least add some texture work and shadowing. Also, many people use 640x480 BBs, and since making this kind of BB is easy, you could do them 'whole' ...

Interesting..Well, for the clouds, you'll have to make a few selections like this(using the elliptical marquee tool):

Then you'll fill it with white colour
(make sure that you do this on an empty layer)
Add an inner shadow(these settings goes for every object):

I hope you understand now?

And for the light shades on the ground, take a colour that is a little bit darker than the ground, and set the opc at 50%, outlines are 2px with full black colour.
Clouds have got an outer glow thats fully white.
Everything is drawed with the pen tool(except for the clouds)...
