Battle Event Anti-Lag

I have the SBS Takentai 2.2xp system, and when I have 3 party members and use a common event or battle event, the game starts to lag and the frame rate slows until i finish with the event. Is there some way to remove this lag, like a script or something?

Note: I am only running one common event at the time. What the common event simply does is show and move pictures.
 
Y@'s right. You (or someone) needs to look at making the existing script(s) more efficient. An Anti-lag script would be more like a band-aid that doesn't necessarily solve the underlying problem.
 
moving pictures tends to be slow in ruby, you are prob going to have a hard time speeding this up, that being said it is possible. i got alpha masking to work, and people said that wasn't possible with ruby.
