Battery not charging?

Hi, I'm having a problem with my Dell Latitude C810's adapter port and I have trouble charging the battery without it coming loose. Yes I know it's the port because I've tried another adapter and I get the same problem, so does anyone know how to fix it so my computer can charge correctly like it did before.

I have the exact same problem with my Toshiba. Their customer support sucks ass so theres not much I can do.

Well solding isn't that safe in my case, you can't trust me with a soldering gun, and my warranty went out around 3 years ago, so yeah. I found and external battery thingamagigger that you plug in to the usb, but I don't know if that would help seeing that it doesn't say if it charges through outlet or the port on the computer. If it charges through outlet, I might get that because it would be the safe way out for me.

Eh, never mind, the battery went from $.01 US to $164.95 in only 2 days, so forget that, in the mean time, I'll just charge the batteries in my dad's computer since it's the same model.
