if you think that bane is "simply stronger than him" then you know absolutely nothing about bane or why he is such a good villain

I don't think of Bane as purely a stupid brute if that's what your saying. I know that he is every bit as intelligent and manipulating as Batman's other villains. What I'm saying is that so far Batman in this film series has only fought the kind of villain who is mainly a schemer, and in the big one on one Batman prevails sort of easily. I think a villain that would also be a little harder for him to overpower would be a nice a change, and I think Bane's addiction to Venom would also be a good chance to explore themes like Gotham's drug problems etc.

That all said, if David Tennant or Johnny Depp end up playing the Riddler in the 3rd movie like all the rumors are saying, I will shut up and enjoy because either one of them would be fantastic.

Not to mention introducing Bane would segway nicely into the 'Nightfall' arc, which would be nearly perfect considering the dark tone of Nolan's films. Jean-Paul Valley was, in a sense, every bit as twisted as a majority of Batman's Rogues Gallery.

I also heard that Killer Croc might have a role in the next Batman film, which would certainly fulfill the 'difficult to overpower' category. Plus, he throws rocks.

Riddler is the only one that makes masses of sense in regards to Nolan's style, Croc would be farfetched the the max. i suppose Tahlia Al Ghul too, she'd would fit the "tying trilogies back the the first installment" thing that most trilogies follow plus it'd give a new love interest seems that there are now no major female characters left in that continuity

I heard Croc was featured in a segment of the Gotham Knight OAV. I doubt he'll show up in the actual film, but I suppose it's not impossible since he's part of the canon.

Another villain whose name I've heard tossed around is Black Mask. That would be a good one too.

I imagine he'd find a way to make Croc make sense. There IS a skin condition that makes the epidermis seem like scales, and also body modification procedures that achieve the same. Ras'Al Ghoul was supposed to be immortal with his Lazarus Pits, but Nolan subverted that very nicely. Pretty much the only member of the Rogues Gallery I can't imagine ever being possible is Clayface.

This is also a perfect chance to introduce Harley Quinn: Joker's in Gotham for the first time (which, in the comics, is when Harleen Quinzel met him)...call it a shot in the dark, but I imagine that'll be a cliffhanger ending, either to this one or the next. Also call it fandom, Harley is awesome.

Pretty much the only member of the Rogues Gallery I can't imagine ever being possible is Clayface.

Although it doesn't really fit the 'realism' set so far, I would love to see Clayface, if only for the plot twists of him changing into main characters. And heck, if the Sandman was done, why not a guy made of clay?
