B Button Stopped Working

I have no idea what the hell happened. I wasn't scripting or anything like that. I was just playing a game and suddenly, the B button stopped working. I tried playing some of the other games I have and the B button still wasn't working.

I honestly have no idea what's going on. It just seems so random and weird that the B button would just suddenly stop working. Has this happened to anyone before?

Huh? You mean RMXP's B Button? Try hitting F1 during a game and see if anything is assigned to B Button. It should have esc,x,b by default(I think?). Other than that, if this isn't a script error...

Yeah, that was the first thing I did once the B button stopped working. Everything looked all right.

...Huh. This does sound kind of familiar, but it has never happened to me. Sorry about it.

Disconnect your keyboard for a couple seconds and reconnect it. Clean it if you can. B button is the X key so make sure it works in every other program. If it doesn't respond in any other program your keyboard has died. Provide it a proper burial and purchase a new one. If limited to RMXP and RMXP only either you have unbound the key which you say you checked or you have a script that handles input which it doesn't sound like you have either.

Hmm...curious.

It seems to be working now.

khmp, the problem wasn't the keyboard because I tried using the keys marked as the B button in a Word Doc and it worked.

Don't know what the problem was, but I hope it doesn't happen again.
