Instead of making a new resource thread every time one of my WIPs scratches its nose, I figured I'll keep all my inquiries to one thread. And so a workshop thread is born!
But, I kinda want advice one at a time, so I'll just keep upping one, getting critique, fixing it, and then moving on to the next project.
Onward ho! Working on my zombie :
zombehs
I think the bra is swell. However, those stockings (more like leggings, they're a little shiny for a piece of clothing I imagine to be more dull looking), and especially the skirt is giving me fits.
Ah, before you rip me a new one, the skirts are by no means finished products. I started with the one on the left, wasn't happy with the direction it was going, so I abandoned it and started working on the one on the right. But now I think I was in a better direction the first time!
The skirt is supposed to be a tight-fitting, low-slung short thing, so, I'm pretty sure I needn't concern myself with the perspective on this one. Unless I do!
And the stockings/leggings are, as I said, a bit shiny, but without that extra color, they look extraordinarily flat. :/ AND, if you're concerned, there would be shading underneath the skirt, but since I don't have either article of clothing to a satisfactory state, best to leave that alone. Also, it'd be the last thing I do, since I want to keep all the layers for later sprites and recolors and suchnot.
Like I said, I'm pretty happy with the bra. The character's underoos aren't supposed to have shoulder straps, but then I added them, but then they looked silly so off they went again. If there was a problem it would be in the tit shift during the side animations, but I think I did as best as I could aligning them up. God bless you, guide lines! Also, the back strap is kinda strong, but shading seems to be unnecessary there. That, and there'll be a whole mess of hair covering it up soon.
Some commissioned work of the character can be found here, though it's not the completely defining character mock-up.
Opinions, C&C, James Sunderland references, plox. More to come!
^ Kinda postponed for the moment, don't mind me.

I'm sorry I jump around a bit. It's hard for me to work on big projects continuously to completion, I tend to get interested in something else (say, another sprite), and won't touch the first one for another couple of weeks. I'll probably edit this first post to reflect just the things I wanted posted, not a single or a couple questions/etc. Anyhow, in the spirit of Showkaiser's workshop, I've decided to post a lineup of my characters, but there's not too many to show for the moment. I stopped to work on some shading, I'll post hers below.

There's some outline issues, especially with the yellow dress, but I'll ... cross that bride when I get there? I took Beserker's advice on trying to get the first frame done, but I don't know if I want to outline all of them, then take them one at a time, or just outline one, get it done, and move on.
DERP DERP nevermind my rambling.
