08' is drawing near and soon I'll be getting a PS3 and Armored Core 4 with it plus I think it's about time I go next gen. Aside from the few outrageous player ratings that will hopefully be fixed in the online roster updates, I really can't wait. :yes:

Yeah, I'm actually one of the few members on these boards that are into Sports Games. The last Madden Game I have is '05. Wasn't really interested in 06 or 07, but I think I might actually get '08.

Madden 97 on the playstation 1 will NEVER be beaten. I used to always go as the madden all team or whatever.

The football game worth getting for PS3 is to be called Pro Evolution Soccer.

Yes most games tend to go by the Americanized definition of nonsense. Ridiculous that they decided to call a game that uses the feet hardly at all 'football'. Especially when that already applied to something else. Pretty nonsensical I gotta say.

(BTW Fifa Soccer... 98 I think for the N64 totally takes the cake for best football game)

I haven't played a madden seriously since like.. madded 04? For the past few years i've played all them, but mostly just exhibition games against my friend.

I dunno apparently somebody likes football here if they paid Beckham enough to get off his pampered ass and play for the LA Galaxy. How much do you think they had to pay him for that?

Ironically, the only reason he really moved to Galaxy is so he can have a pampered ass instead of actually competing at a decent level. Now he can hang out with the stars instead... like Tom Cruise.

...And Fifa went down hill after Fifa 96', maybe now they are both getting rebuilt for next gen perhaps Fifa can jump back ahead of PES, I doubt it though. I know which I'll be getting at this moment in time anyway.

The only good game I know from the FIFA series is the 98 with no doubt. These new ones suck my balls (sorry for that) really. PES is rulling at football games now.
