Animated GIF thingy [need help]

Hello evryone! I need to know how tho make a GIF and wich program i need for it to make (Freeware plz). The GIF must see like so:

          /         \
       ----         ----
        /               \
Mind        Burn
      /                  \
                          \

That line thing by the d must be a dagger, and that sword by B must be a sword.
I want that the dagger goes trough the d and the sword goes through the B in a animation. You can see in my image what the end frame is.

A gif is an animation, and an animation is comprised of a lot of images altered slightly and played back to back to give the illusion of movement. 12 frames per second (each frame being one image) is the general average. Which means if you want it to run for 3 seconds you need to draw 36 frames.

The program compiles and organizes the frames for you. So just read some tutorials and have fun!
