An nTitles problem

OK, let's do this quickly.

Program: RPG Maker VX (It's not XP I'm having the problem with.)
Computer: Windows Vista
Message: "Failed to obtain a trial activation code from the nTitles server."
Internet Connection: Online
Program Status: Purchased

I've had it on my computer for a long time, and now it's giving me this problem. And nothing's changed. :blank:

I'd rather stay away from having to go through Protexis support again. I had to clear my computer after a virus and asked them for the serial codes a few months ago, and then to ask them again? I guess, if I have no choice, I'll go that route, but I'd rather not e-mail them a second time for a serial code.

No, I have permission. I've been able to access it without a problem until today (although I admittedly haven't touched it in a while). It opens up the last project, loads for a while, pops up that message, then closes the program.

Yeah, I put in the activation code. And, to my knowledge, none of the permissions have been changed.

Let's assume I didn't put in an activation code. What would I do then? I don't think the activation code is the problem, but the solutions for similar problems might help here.

Well, usually the problem pops up BEFORE you enter the activation code (when you're still in the trial). I'm not sure why it would do that after you already purchased and registered the program. Could you try doing the steps in Glitchfinder's tutorial anyway?

Have you cleaned your computer in any way since the last time you ran the program? Specifically, have you done anything with the registry, or installed anything like a new antivirus? Registry cleaners occasionally get rid of normal keys, and it may be that the protexis keys were removed. A new antivirus may be preventing the software from accessing the registry. Finally, have you made any major changes to the computer? A change to hardware may have changed the computer'd unique ID, and that may have resulted in the protexis key becoming invalidated. Combine that with an antivirus, and you may have a problem. One final question: Have you installed Vista SP1 since the last time you used the program? That might also create some issues.

Just look through my post carefully, and think to see if the answer to any of the questions is yes. If some are, then they may be your problem.
