Amati recruiting(Scripter, spriter)

I had to put the game on hold when i hit exams in school, now they are over and when i came back i lost alot of Scripters and some Digital artist, some friends from school are going to help mostly with map development and concept art, but none can do pixel art. So i am in need of Scripters and Pixel artist.

Dating to times unknown when humans weren’t the predominant and greatest species, there lived a race known as the Tigris. They excelled in almost every field and none could match them. Half tiger and half human, the Tigris lived longer lives then humans and learned the secrets of nature, the world, and life itself. The humans were no match. The Tigris had neutral relations with all nations and races, always being the first to throw a helping hand but as they always say, nothing lasts forever.

The humans became jealous and fearful of the Tigris and in time, slowly began to harass the peaceful race out of their envy. Being a peaceful and learned race, the Tigris didn’t retaliate though, taking a neutral stance and not partaking in any wars or starting any either. Different men saw the Tigris as a threat as they outnumbered them in many, if not all, respects. These men began killing the Tigris whenever they could and soon, jealousy and hate led to genocide and the humble race was nearly wiped out completely from the face of the Earth. These different groups had different names but the most powerful was called “Saber” and made it a life’s pursuit to eliminate every Tigris and non-human predominant race in the world.

The Tigris refused to fight back owing to their nature but many decided that the humans were inhumane and remorseless and fought back with immense force. Their attempts were great but futile, leading to the annihilation of almost the entire Tigris race. Without any spirit, all those that survived fled wherever their legs took them, trying to live a little longer.

Amati, a 19 year old male Tigris, was born and bred in the Tigris capital which he was named after. The humans reached the city and ruined it although many Tigris, including Amati, put up a good fight. Unfortunately, Amati got hit on the head very critically but escaped. Owing to the blow, he couldn’t remember anything that happened, whether he had a family or not, or even who he really was. All he could remember was his name.

Being stronger then most Tigris, he escaped into a nearby desert, not knowing even where he was going. After a few days, he ran into a few thieves who wanted to steal some of the items he was carrying by chance but didn’t realize how powerful Amati really was. They fought him but soon realized that it was fruitless. The Tigris ran out of strength though because of so much walking and fell unconscious. Days later, he woke up and became acquainted with his rescuers who were the same thieves he was battling before in the desert. They happened to be mere representatives of a much, much larger band of thieves. Amati had trespassed into their territory. The leader of the thieves became very friendly with Amati and asked him to join them.

He did and in mere months, he became the leader of the 34th Shadow, one of the most powerful bands of thieves. Throughout different regions, there were many bands and the 34th took Amati far away from his hometown which he didn’t even remember. He became a totally different person, one that he understood much better then before he joined the thieves.

A few years passed and many things changed. Amati gained friends, enemies, rivals, and co-leaders, including a new life. Just when he thought everything was going on perfectly though, his friend Lucifer stole his band from him, leaving him the same way he was in the desert.

Now, a great race is at the brink of extinction. Amati wonders alone, troubled by his thoughts and his deadly hunger for vengeance. The world has changed and so has the way all the races lived. The future holds truth and lies and nothing can be predicted.

We have alot of artist, but we mostly do Pencil and paper, we arent really digital artist (except corey and me slightly) so we cant really make Sprites all that well, and we figure the more sprite artist we have the faster we can get things done.

Special thanks to Vickie Eagle (Some may know her from making Witch Gate using Realm crafter) She helped with creating the title screen (the one with the black background) Atm i am trying to find out how to put the whole part of it in the new title screen showing the map.
 
The story sounds rather interesting, although I get the feeling that theres a lot of needless text there. Perhaps you could rephrase it, or eliminate some of the repetition? Just a suggestion

I think I'll mention this before someone more vicious does: Those aren't really "features". Try to explain how those things will be put to use and, if possible, try and flesh it out by relating it to the game world (for example, explain this transformation ability in a bit more detail. Does it only happen under certain conditions? Is it limited to certain people etc).

I think the last thing I can really comment on is your mapping. I can't really picture people constructing three pillars in such a way... I like your varied use of flowers and grasses, but theres also a lot of blank space. Try spreading it out a little. Also, I find it quite strange how there is only (almost) one of each type on the map. The single mushroom especially so. Mushrooms grow on a plate of roots underground, and rarely (if at all) sprout on their own. But I'll stop talking about the maps, if you want to know more, head to the Mapping Improvement thread or look up some tutorials. (But your mapping is certainly above average, so it's not at all a problem)

Other than these few issues though, it looks good so far, keep it up :grin:
 
Yea we are still at work on the features, So we have yet to get everything perfect on there. But I'll destroy that bridge when i get there :)

For mapping i couldnt find any type of good flower autotiles or tiles when a good cluster of flowers in there so i wanted to feel the space so i added random things in there. and yea the pillars are just random lol.

The story was alot less detailed but our writer Jason spruced it up.

Also i adding some concept art, these are only WIP but i will be adding a massive dump of them very very soon. We are steering Highly away from the whole Anime style of art that i see in many RPG XP games.
