AlphaZ (DEMO WITH COMPLETE MAP SYSTEM!!)

We are too busy atm with this project, we will indeed make battlers but we must finish this first so a game is playable with this template.

you see npcs and characters are basic to have a game, and battlers are not because you can have another battle system so the most important for us right now is making basic and then we will start taking requests and making battlers

Honestly, though. I suggest trying RTP hair at least once. You may be surprised at how they look.

And I don't mean to be a jerk, but you need to work on your pallettes. If you can't get it right just yet, just get an RTP character and steal their pallettes. I mean, that's what I did when I just started out.

The shading could also use some work. Look at your civilians 8 and 9. They look like they are wearing tubes. Add some wrinkles and make it look more natural.

I mean, I admire you for using the template that I started and Bestone finished. Keep working and improving.

Edit:
Here is an example I did using paint. Just to show you what I mean about wrinkles.

Hmmm youre right about the clothes they could use a lil adjustments with the shading but i dont like rtp hair, im happy with most of my hairstyles, except for civilian 8 and 4, u must know this is my first sprites ever, but i know how to draw, so i can understand shading and i know ure right. but i love the hair i made to jack and civilian 9 for example ill be making upgrades to what i believe needs it and making them uploadable.

Thnx for the advice

I applaud you for doing these for your first sprites, but I do suggest redoing civ 8 and 9's hair, at least. I think Jack's hair is pretty good.

Just remember. Wrinkles are friends, not enemies. Add a little more contrast to your colors. You can use other people's hair.

And I'm probably not finishing the sprite. When I get a better computer, I'll make a tall AlphaZ Male and put him as that, so he looks more like his battler.

One last thing... I think we'll need to fix the template's sideview walking animation. It's not moving enough.

Thank you for the advice i really apreciate it By the way!! about the sideview animation, i think its the best animation ive seen. the legs are not too wide open and it looks natural.

after seeing your in game screenshot, and just walking around a map i have made up using rtp with the naked template, i think im going to switch over to this. ill probably end up using at a base and make a few minor adjustments for specific characters, but any npc's i make ill toss this way so if you like them you can include them in the project

after messing around for like 30 seconds, i found that simple stretching the rtp doors a bit taller looks just fin in game, like if you open up door01 in photoshop youll notice an empty space above each door, and that empty space is roughly how much taller you'd need to make the doors to look right, so some easy cutting and rearranging and copying pieces, pixel here and there, done deal

Sweet. But I think I'll end up making custom tielsets when I get the tall male in, because that is the real adult. I started with a teen-ish figure, because  Most of the battlers fit this. Pretty soon, I'll start on the adult (tall male) frames. I'll do a quick run-through in a bit.

Edit: Look at the BigZ Template.

Make the shadows a bit deeper. I like where you've gone. It's the right direction.

How many shades do you have in that jacket? It looks like there only two.

Yes, kind of. Make the shadow both darker and wider. But I really want to know how many colors you are using. And what graphics system, too, so I could give more exact help.
