Advanced Netplay bugs.

Hello everyone! I have been working on kingdom of auspiex online, THE oldest mmorpg still being actively developed using mnetplay and netplay. (http://koarpg.com)

The casual scripters i have been using over the years, are all MIA or working on various 3d projects.. My game is looking hella tight these days, and have a few questions from people in the know..


# 1 Players seeing players bug. The biggest bug i am encountering is thus.. Player A and Player B are following each o ther around, Player A walks into a new map, Player B follows, Player A in the next map can see Player B, but Player B cannot see Player A unless he hits escape to see the menu, then hits esc again.. My impression its some kind of refresh bug. Anyone have this problem before, or know the appripriate update command so i can attach to to "netplayer" script

#2 I see myself casting spells, but not the enemy. second biggest bug is thus. Player A casts a fireball (using ABAS by mista mo) I watrch as the fireball hits Player B, he takes damage. From Player B's perspective, he sees himself take the damage, but does not see the fireball animation.. Anyone know the root of this?

# 3 Equipment dissapearing. I have one of the last scripts from the last reelase before everyone switched to netplay 2.0 . The players start off with equipment on their character, but if they unequip the equipment, the equipment disspears, and they cannot reequip it. Anyone know the root of this problem??


Thanks to anyone who can help.. Also, I am looking for a seasoned netplay scripter to join my team. I can pay you a few hundred dollars to help fix bugs (no new scripts requireed) I am at the point, where commerical release is on the horizon, but major bugs like the ones i listed, must be squased.

Hello.

For your 1st problem, do you test your game with the 2 players
on the same computer ?

Because i am using netplay 1.7 and it do that just if
i test my game with the 2 players the same computer.

Try to make a refresh event every 30 seconds for example.

And for the second problem it's because the fireball is an event and if you want the the netplayers to see it you have to make a global event.
I don't know how to do it but you can try.

And i have a tip for you if you want, because if a player A change of appearence on the map the other players don't see it new apearence immediatly. They see it just if they change of map.
So i had a line of script on the netplayer refresh function and now all the informations of netplayers are refresh on every action of the netplayer 
(for example moving, change of map ...).

I have fix others bugs and if you want help to fix them i am here.

So if you want my scripts tell me.

Edit : Make me a full list of your bugs i'll compare with my scripts if i can help you.
         And i have bugs too :)

        I make a script to write the stats of a player into a file when the informations 
        come in the server and a php script upload the informations on a sql database.
 
Thanks, I will take you up on this offer! Yeah, my framework with like basicly 100 custom scripts are all working fine, these little bugs just piss off my users, and I know they are easy to fix, but I find myself writing content, zones, quest, rpg systems and stuff more then just misc scripting..

Lets take this to PM, as I dont wanna disclose everything of a developmental platform nature in a public forum! :)
