Advance Wars: Days of Ruin

Well it's getting to the time where this game is being released. So I decided to make a discussion thread on this game, what do you think of it? I'm definitely getting it, but I'm also holding onto Dual Strike for several reasons.

You think this game will be better or worse than AW: DS?

I think it'll be better than DS simply because it has online play.  The whole point of making your own maps is sharing them and the multiplayer of the series has been too killer to NOT have online gaming.  I expect we'll be sharing friend codes and what not and I look forward to playing you guys.

Anyways, why would you want to get rid of DS?  The amount of "credits" you get for trading in games these days is so negligible that it's smarter just to keep them than trade them off.

Its now out in the US. That said, us Europeans only have to wait 3 more days!

Thats actually quite good for Nintendo. I'll be getting it on the 25th.

Yep, I got it, and playing it once in a while.
Pretty typical Advance War gameplay so far, but that's just my opinion as a casual non-fan player. I like the story better than the previous titles though. Haven't tried the online features yet.

Just got this, and I love it.

I think that it is superior to the previous one - Dual Strike.

The graphics have certainly been improved, so has the story, and you can hold tons of custom maps. Not to mention Wi-Fi.

I might be able to get this next month (or this weekend maybe, dunno yet), I have to see how much money I have after getting a new graphics card for my computer. Question, should I attempt to play online with dial-up? Or is this a bad idea?

Anyways since its been out for a while now what do you like about it? What's your favorite CO or unit, you like this game more than Dual Strike or don't? (tough question, lol) Speaking of DS...anybody know where I can find multiplayer map pics from DS? One of my favorite maps in DS didn't show up in Days of Ruin, and with this better map editor I might as well re-create it. :p

I'm going to be getting the game the moment I get the money for it. Unfortunatly my car needs a new clutch so I don't have any money right now. The came does look really cool though. I think my favorite CO is going to be Will (I think that is what his name is....You know, the guy with the tie...) My other favorite is Jake but it seems they took him out....    Just a little off topic though, how many people got all 300 trophies and at least 1 CO to a star rank? I'm about 50 trophies short and was just wondering.....I love the Advance Wars series though. This one better be good!

I don't think the COs are ranked in this game, but all my COs in Dual Strike are all star ranked already. I haven't gotten all medals however. And yea, all the COs from previous games are history in this game. They could have at least allowed us to use them in multi-player mode or something, lol.

The CO I use the most now is Isabella, her power is somewhat similar to Adder/Grit...or maybe close to Jake, I dunno.

Probably your best buy for DS games in 08. I've played this game from the first in the series up till now, Days of Ruin is way better than I hoped for...
