Recently, some of you may remember, that I mentioned designing advertisements for peppers.
Well, I'm here to share with you what I have done.
Pepper Creek Farms sells various pepper products, and my goal is to create 3 magazine ads as a series.
(Honey Mustard)
This ad was the easiest of the three. You're actually seeing two separate peppers here. One is of the inside of a pepper, and the other is of the outside of a pepper. I slightly warped the outside pepper to sort of give it more of a heart shape.
(Jalapeño Cilantro Dip Mix).
This one was fairly simple to do, but it was time consuming. I used many many many layers to achieve correct shading and highlights. The most difficult part about this one was blending, texturing, and highlights.
Source Image (The other source image was just a photo of a hand).
(Red Bell Pepper Jelly).
This one was difficult because the lid of the pepper, the inside, and the outer shell were all from a completely different peppers. And to make things worse, they were different colors. It was pretty difficult to get the green color of the pepper red, while maintaining the white color of the inside.
I am still working on better type placement for all of the ads. Also, there are a few things that I don't really like about my ads, and one of them is the products they support. I'm thinking of removing the products and just have Pepper Creek Farms be my product. My other problem is consistency.
Feedback is appreciated.

Why are we advertising?
To get the products out the public and help get them known.
Who are we talking to?
The general public. People who don’t use peppers very often (or at all) in their dishes.
What do they currently think?
All peppers are hot, and aren’t good for much.
What would we like them to think?
There are a variety of peppers, from sweet to hot, and they add spice to otherwise bland dishes. They come in a beautiful array of colors and shapes, and add flavor and crunch to many low-calorie dishes.
What is the single most persuasive idea we can convey?
Peppers are good for a lot of things, and they are good for you. They are high in antioxidants, have a high vitamin A, C, and K content, and provide you with many health benefits, including the prevention of certain types of cancer.
Why should they believe it?
Research studies have shown that peppers have beneficial properties and are high in nutrients. They are a high in antioxidants, provide healthy heart benefits, and may lower the risk of diabetes.

Just my attempt to copy something that already exists. I never finished shading it or retexturing it.
Just seeing what it would look like.
