The first Page:
The first page explains that the happenings were last year. So he explains that this happened.
This explains (if you have read page02), that somehow he can talk whilst being dead. He is dead physically. But mentally not.
He explains that "Everything was going so well...". His life was straight and amazing, no problems in his life. But it all comes as hell. He didn't have problems with his girlfriend, So why was he dumped? Apparently it was for his best freind.. But it says "That's A Reason." So there's more.
The second Page:
He notices that his mobile receives a message, the comic tells you that he dropped his phone last night in the rain. (Page 01).
When he notices that the message reads she brought it back. You'll think, how would he know what "it" is? It all comes clear. Obviously after some work, you find it's the mobile she is referring to.
We all sometimes say "It" in replace of an object because at that moment we have already mentioned what "it" is.
Suki-Chan (The main character's Ex) must have been talking to someone or something before hand.
It all comes so sudden his death. Physical Death that is. But did you notice the little words.. Feelings. Like "Sadness" and "Confusion" around both pages? These are notes. Feelings The main character probably never felt before properly. He thinks it's hell, "The worst feeling ever" as some may say, but in fact, The last feeling is the worst. "Death" The ultimate feeling.
The last part has another character (Unknown to viewers) talking to the main character who narrates the story.
That means he is talking to someone.
It also states that "This isn't the end."
"It is only the beginning." This means that the story you read may seem to be finished with the words "The End" but it isn't.
(I am going to release a comic series based on the aftermath of "Xmas present".)

The rest + Explanations.
Well, The other person he is talking to happens to be a Spirit. Who is actually "Death".
He had retired, he had to choose someone who has not yet felt what others have, someone who has not yet had a problem to be the second "Death", That person is "Kai" Our main character.
When I mentioned that Kai did die physically, he didn't die mentally, I meant that his spirit lives on, as the next "Death". He chooses when it is "their time".
Suki-Chan had an encounter with Death at the beginning. She was told what to do.
She had been talking about "It" (The phone) with him too. How it got in the apartment? Death did it himself.
Suki-Chan did not actually know what this "Xmas Present" at the window was. Death had already done the rest to cause Kai's death.
The feelings are emotions that others feel, all before they die. But one wasn't on the list; "Peace". (neither was others too..)
Death wanted to show Kai, things that happen and feelings. Death was the last feeling. Which leads to himself being "Death" the character.
In the next comics ("A Death by Xmas"), this will show the beginning and the ending of the story, whilst he is telling "Death" the story. Then we follow Kai's story on being Death. He learns many things.
He also learns a few myths and legends to be wrong.
Like for instance, Death is NOT a hooded skeleton, he is in fact a human look-alike hooded, with a giant scythe and floats.
I can't tell you the rest. I really don't want to. But use the last info as a bonus.
