A newb's first tree.

I did blur the background bacause it tiled better that way, less really dark spots, but it is easy enough to fix. I did save them as gifs to post on the internet, but I have about 5 different version in my computer with file types varying from .png to .psd and .tiff and .riff, mainly to make them more editable for me :) Thanks for the tip, I'll fix that background straight away.

PS: I never ever use .jpegs for anything. I despise artifacts.

Very nicely done, especially considering you mention not having too much experience in this type of thing.

My only criticism/suggestion is concerning the first tree you posted. The trunk that's peaking out of the branches just seems a little thick for the size of the tree. I'd suggest making it just slightly less wide. However, I might be thinking of a different variety of evergreen :D In which case, keep on going and don't mind me :)

Most evergreens are thin round the base, save the bristlecone pine, which is twisted and gnarled. I just made a generic pine. But, Thanks, I'll look into fixing that.
