What would I wish for with one wish?
I would wish for the old to be young and healthy again.
So many old people in the world who go through ungodly amounts of pain due to their old age... If one thing would might give hundreds of people who go through sadness every day some happiness. It would be that.

In fact, I'm sure the sons and daughters of the old people would be overjoyed as well to have their parents so happy again.

Over population is another matter. I'll make people happy, I can't control how shag-happy they are. That's their problem.

Being old doesn't mean you are unhealthy. I actually know a couple of old people who are healthier than a kid. And I know a couple of young men who can't walk around nor do anything and have to suffer from tons of pain.

It has nothing to do with age if you take care of yourself and your health, imo.

i'd honestly just wish for eternal life selfish though it may be the thought of dying one day scares me so much. so plain and simple i would wish for me and the people i love like and anyone of my friends would live forever.

Really, think about that for a moment. Eternal life says nothing about aging and its effects. That means that, like every fairy tale character ever given eternal life, you continue to grow older and older, until you've wasted away to a mere shell of your former self, yet still cannot die. Eternal youth is better, because it includes eternal life, as well as the stipulation that you don't grow older and waste away.

As for me, I don't know. Probably the ability to create (not in the I am God way, but on a small scale, like maybe creating a good sandwich, or creating the part I need to fix my computer when it breaks) If I can't go with that, I'd like the ability to literally immerse myself within fiction of any sort, be it a photograph, drawing, short story, or novel. Now, that would come with the stipulation that, while I am within the fiction, real time is essentially suspended, while time in the fiction travels at the pace dictated by the work. So, I could live a thousand years as a dragon in a book, and return to the same instant that I dove in in the first place.

I didn't say the media would change you. As far as I'm concerned, it would be just like reality, as far as perceptions and such are. Although, certain changes would be required based on the fictional work, such as if you went into one of those "impossible" pieces of art, like the triangular staircase thing.

Have you ever really thought about that? We only live for so long because it helps us. Imagine if you lived forever. Would you do anything? We're motivated to do stuff because we know we won't be around forever.

I'd wish for the ability to make my own worlds that I could go to when I sleep. It would make the perfect escape from reality, although I fear I'd start to like sleeping more than being awake very quickly. ^_^;

Guardian, look into lucid dreaming. I hear you can train yourself to do it more.

As far as saving the world wishes go, if I were gonna make a wish like that, it would probably be along the lines of everyone having to put themselves in other people's shoes before doing something bad and/or gaining the ability to think calmly and rationally when solving problems. I think that would make the world a better place and is imo less likely to get screwed up by a malicious fairy than, say, eliminating all suffering (hi @ murdering everyone).

i just want enough money so that i won't have to worry about it ever again so i can just do what i want in life. i don't want to live very long or make a big difference, i just want to travel a lot and enjoy a shitload of hobbies and never have to yell at debtors again :P
