You can't wish for anything dumb, so no wishing for more wishes, no wishing for omnipotence, none of that. Real answers, please. What do you wish for, and why?

You could do a lot with money, but tbh I've never been that materialistic. It's just money. I've always placed a lot of value on intelligence, and god knows I wish I had more, but I think it's one of those things you never really have enough of if you really care, so I don't know that wishing to be a supergenius would really make me happy. And being too much smarter than everyone else is isolating anyway. If I had one wish, I think I'd wish for drive. I still don't know what I want to do with my life, but I want to do something with it. Something that doesn't involve wasting all my time on the Internet. And the money and happiness and all of that would follow.

When it comes to all seriousness I really can't decide on one wish. I would probably save the wish until the time is right. Either that or wish for world peace, something that will benefit everyone for quite a while.

Well you don't live forever so I think I would wish for something that benefits many people like world peace, something that would last beyond me. And hey maybe if you were lucky someone (or many people) would reward you for your great act of goodness.

That's a fair point, but I was thinking more in terms of things you could wish for yourself, because I think most people would probably wish for something bigger if truly given the opportunity. Well, whatever.

I would wish for world peace, but it's too cliche. (what a terrible reason not to wish for it) Actually, I would have no idea. I'd probably make a rash decision and end up regretting it in the future. But if I had to make one and think of it right there on the spot, I'd wish for an end to ignorance or something like that. Like, people would no longer be able to be ignorant, and would always make intelligent decisions, consider all options, and making the best choices, like it was second-nature or something. An end to stupidity, basically.

I don't think that would change much but that's probably what I'd wish for!

On second thought, wishing for more empathy might be more effective. Like, everyone had the ability to "put themselves in other's shoes", so to speak, and consider the circumstances of others, just naturally, like they didn't even have to think about it.

I'm kinda torn between two things. I would wish for everybody to be happy, because I also would want to wish for something many people can profit from. If you can look back on your life when you are old and can say you had a fullfilled and happy life, I think that's the best.
So either that or global justice. I believe in karma, so you get what you give... hmm can't really decide but I think I tend more towards the first one.

World peace is meaningless by itself.

Besides, you might get one of those really nasty "Bedazzled" kind of fairies - so you get one minute of peace and then everyone is back to "normal". Or everyone disappears like in that XFiles episooe.

And anyway, define "world peace". World Peace is meaningless until the underlying causes that cause people to go to war or start fighting. Look at something like the inter-generational conflict in the Levant: merely each side laying down arms is not enough to produce something adequate as to be defined as "world peace".

It would be far more logical to request that this hypothetical fairy uplift mankind to a situation where they are able to resolve their problems without resorting to violence, are able to think clearly, logically and rationally, and not to be spiteful, vengeful or hold a grudge and exhibit good will to all men.

Obviously you'd need a lawyer to ensure the wording was just right (and you didn't leave humanity open for an invasion by aliens who want to harvest our organs) and presumably, this would be the last action undertaken by a lawyer in humanity's history - so it's Win/Win.

I have always looked up to Reives, because his game Quintessence is on the top there and he has an active website forum. I want to be like him one day, and I understand how work does that need.

I'd like to be a good composer. I'm getting decent at art, and spriting is just a matter of practice right now, but it's harder to work on the ability to think of good tunes. everything I come up with is like at twelve at night, and it's great, but then I forget it when I wake up. it's annoying, and it kind of saps my motivation to practice my compositions. I'd like to be able to come up with good music consciously, not just right before I fall asleep.

besides, composition has potential applications in real life. spriting is just useful for this tiny little pocket of my world.

p.s. Love, if you're gonna wish for that sort of thing, you can do much better than "like Reives." the rabbit hole goes a lot farther than just the rm community. try "like pixel amaya."

I'd honestly wish to become a successful cartoonist. Plain and simple. It's ALWAYS been my dream, but alas, I cannot afford art school to become one. I WAS gonna' say financial stability, but I suppose by doing what I love, that would come naturally I would hope.

lol I know what you mean. I would wish for something as small as this, though, as it has been always a dream of mine.

@mawk: Of course and I am aiming to be better. I do want to be one of those "big people" in RM world, and maybe even better. If I work hard enough, I can improve and make this dream come true.
