A Little Question

I posted some of my arts in Artwork section four days ago, but still got no comments
while 24 people take a look. I thought people just passed because my arts weren't good enough
However, It looks like I am not the only one with this. Even some of other guys had only 1~2
comments while their post is about 1~2 months old. But some of the posts have bunch of
comments. But I still wonder, why people just look and don't say a word about it?

P.S : Well, I still don't know all of the way people in here thinks. :-( and I need to know about it
So I can have more flexible communication ; Maybe It's because I'm asian and most of the guys here are american/european. am i right?

You have to take into consideration there are more people whom view any one topic than there are whom respond to said topic. Somebody could quickly skim through hundreds of topics in an hour and only find one or two that they feel deserves their comment. Twenty four views honestly isn't very many, don't be surprised if 300+ people read and don't have anything to say, its more common than one would like to think.

In fact, I read tons of things but don't respond, like I almost didn't respond to this one. Maybe the topic is a really intriguing read or has amazing artwork, leaving everyone speechless. Maybe the topic is uninteresting and nobody feels like responding. Maybe you're asking for help, but nobody with answers has visited yet. It could be many things, you just have to have patience and you'll get a response eventually.

Don't worry, this is a problem with any forum. Generally a thread only gets posts from extreme reactions, whether one thinks it's really fantastic or really terrible. The mediocre ones in between tend to be emptier, sadly. We're doing our best to encourage more constructive criticism, but in the meantime just wait patiently, and don't be afraid to bump every so often, or ask specific questions about your work for others to answer.
