A Fistful Of Dollars

This topic is about my newest game in production called "A Fistful of Dollars".

The game is based on the old western movie with same name. There will be some changes though.

Story:

A new type of hero to rpg games, a Man With No Name, arrives at a little Mexican border town named San Miguel. He is quickly introduced to the feud between two mafioso style families bitterly laying claim to the town: the Rojos brothers, consisting of Don Miguel (the eldest and nominally in charge), Esteban (the most head-strong) and Ramón (the most capable and intelligent), and on the other side the family of town sheriff John Baxter.

Concept of the game:

The plot in this game folds out trough various quest that you do for either one of these families. You will start by doing small erans for Ramón Rojo and during the quests the plot of the movie will unfold at the same time. There will be major changes from the movie.

The Man With No Name / Nameless:
The main charachter in this game. Arrives to San Miguel out of nowhere. Noone really knows about his past. He carry a 45. revolver all the time and is ready to use it whenever. He seems to have amazing shooting skills with his revolver.

Silvanito: Silvanito drives the local Inn and Pub at Sam Miguel. When Nameless kills 3 thugs outside of his pub Silvanito pays the sheriff John Baxter for the funeral of the 3 mens (because Nameless did not have the money). Nameless owes now money to Silvanito and they become friends later.

Piripero: Piripero is the local coffin maker. Piripero becomes friends with Nameless when he sees some of the heroic acts of Nameless. Silvanito and Piripero is the only two people in San Miguel that becomes friends with Nameless.

Don Miguel: leader of the Rojo Brothers.

Esteban Rojo: one of the Rojo brothers.

Ramón Rojo: The most intelligent of the Rojo Brothers. As a wepon Ramón uses a Winchester Rifel and think that is the best to use. He believe him self that noone with a gun can kill a man with a Winchester. Ramón has kidnapped a local man's beautiful wife, Marisol and keep her for himself. Marisol means alot to Ramón.

Marisol: Before the storyline of the game takes place Marosol's husband had a dept to Ramon. Marisol's husband could not pay Ramon back, so Ramon kidnapped Marisol instead.

FOD is a shooting game using Vlads ABS script for VX. I have made some minor modifications to the script with the help of Mundane

So far I use songs from the FOD OST including various songs made by Ennio Morricone

I actually made the characters to look like the ones in the movie =X

First off, Clint Eastwood is a fucking legend so if the game turns out to be terrible then he'll probably come round and put his cowboy boot up your ass.

I would have to see more to form an opinion.

Well dude, there's not much to comment on, besides the fact this is possibly one of the 1st Wild West style RPGMAKERVX games, and that you have nothing in your
title screen spoiler.

Well I will release a demo of my game when I have finished the first 10 quests.

I'm a person that rush alot so some of my stuff is messed up xD

I edited you HUD to western style as you can see =P during the edit I deleted the writings you made (>.<)

But I still thought you should have some credit 4 the hard work =/

This game sounds promising DopyG.  Really though, try to commit to one game.  I think a remake of a movie to a game is a great idea and so far this game looks like it'll be entertaining.  You should work a little bit on your mapping though.  Go to the mapping improvement thread in RM Discussion forum to get some real feedback on how to improve.

ur screenies look like its in the wild wild west so its a good start... the maps don't look too shabby either, I think they're fine so far.  good luck with this, i'd try it.

Yeah. It looks pretty good so far, but only work on one game for now. And don't try to rush it, if you take your time it will be much better. Also try to westernize that hud some more. Looks okay now, but those hp/mp(?) bars look too modern!

I will custom the HUD more when I have finished atleast 50% of the mapping =P
It also takes some time to figure out some quests =X I have to ensure that they arent to boring...
