Um, to be honest they are not that good to me. Just the cloth for the green thing doesnt look right to me. The dragon is smiling, is that intentional? Can not tell where arm starts. Can not tell where mouth is. The guy just looks weird to me in every place.

@ RMXPlayamakerPart2 - Yeah, it is smiling intentionally for the picture I made, And what do you mean by loin cloth (Will upgrade it, lol) doesn't look right ?
Another thing, YES you can see where the Dragons arm starts, it is just bent because he has his hand on his hip (Posing)
And the man (He's meant to have no face, I'll change it to what it WILL look like later), is in a slouched position, Not that hard to tell.

@ coyotecraft - Hehe, Yeah, I'm definitely adding shading and texturing.

Are you 100% dumb or can you just not read ?
Don't mind the sizes and shading, Still a WIP
WIP = Work In Progress, which means their not finished.
Some people are so stupid, Don't they read before they post ?

Since you're making them without using any template, they don't totally suck.
My favorite one is the black dragon, though his left wing is wrong placed.
As assassin said, you have some anatomy errors, but since these are wips, you should try to get rid of that kind of errors, before starting to shade.
When you shade them, they will look better.

This is going to sound kinda dumb (Hehe), But what do you mean by Anatomy errors ?

And don't worry, The Shading will make them look tons better.

For anatomy, bone structure dictates the shape a body should take. For example, let's look at the dragon.

First, on his right arm, his forearm (lower portion of the arm connected to the hand) is much longer than his bicep (upper arm connected to the shoulder). This type of anatomy is typically only seen in reptiles that walk on all fours, with a low center of gravity (think crocodiles).

Also, the dragon's chest puffs out while his abdomen is sunken back. This gives his spine the appearance of being curved and throws his center of gravity forward. This would support the fact that this animal is a quadruped (walks on all fours), and actually looks rather painful standing erect.

Because the animal is turned slightly, its wings should shift accordingly. Right now it appears that the wings are connected to the dragon's left shoulderblade and are on crooked.

For the dragon, I would recommend doing a Google image search for reptile pics to help with the anatomy, and for the ogre and human, I would suggest Googling images for human range of motion, just to give you a reference point.

I think once you clean these up and add some finishing touches, they will come out nicely.

Oh Im stupid now? Try not to post work that isn't even relativly finished or good.

Well, the Dragons chest puffs out to show it looking strong, As you usually do see with Dragons on games, I don't get what you mean with the painful standing, because if you've ever noticed, some dragons walk on two legs, otherwise, I would have done his hands in the same style as I did the feet, the wings aren't really supposed to be there, I have a version without wings, I just added them to see what it would look like.

I don't know what you mean by the Ogre, as I think it looks okay.
And I definitely can't see anything wrong with the Human, because I meant to draw him in the slouched position.

@Assassin, Does the Resource Analysis say anything about it being wrong to post WIPs ?
I don't think so:
This forum is for submitting user-created resources
Do you ever stop to think why people might submit WIPs ? So people can see what their up to, Whats the point in finishing something if no one will like it ? Atleast if it's a WIP, people can say they don't like it and then you can stop, And if you think it's wrong for people to post them, Then tell it to all the other people who post WIP's. You've been clamped.

The dragon arching out like that would make it very front-heavy. Even a slight nudge from behind would send him toppling to the ground. His legs need to be further forward to compensate for the weight shift to make him more stable.

I know that some people show dragons on two legs, but the anatomy of your dragon suggests that he walks on four legs.

The Ogre is not too bad, but the human needs work. His torso looks off. What I would suggest is, if you have a ful-length mirror and a digital camera, pose in the mirror and take pictures of yourself. I know this sounds weird, but it will give you a great reference on the anatomy. You could even import your own image into a paint program and paint over yourself.

A think a little detail will go a long way. It is hard to judge them as they are, because they are still works in progress. When they start to get a little more defined it will become a little bit easier to see any abnormal postitioning.

EDIT:
Sorry for the bad pic, but this is essentially what the spine of your dragon is doing as it goes down his back into his tail:

This would put a tremendous amount of pressure on the lower spine while standing erect, and would be quite painful.

Well, I'm just finishing up on shading for my Human, although he doesn't have a face as of yet (There are two versions of this enemy), So i'll post a before and after of him, see what you think then.

I know this is a old topic and I am a new member but I have to say, AssassinX is right, you either should wait till it's done or except some negative opinions because you are bound to get some, it's not a very good sprite right now, and you did say when you started the topic "tell me what you think", so to call some one a 100% dumb (which doesn't even make sense) for giving you their opinion when you asked for it is just stupid.

Since someone necroposted, I thought I would add something on. When you ask for opinions, bear in mind that you're things are not perfect. So far for every criticism you've been dealt, you quickly brush it away, saying "you wanted that." Take the criticism you're given and improve, or don't submit stuff to the analysis.
