6 frame runs?

I noticed that everything that happens in game is a script, even to the point where it handles how the game reads char. sets.

So, is it possible to make it so walking animations are done with a 6th frame? Here's what I mean:

Each tileset has 4 characters in each direction, walking, pausing, walking, pausing. Can I make a tileset that reads 6 frames instead of 4? Like, instead of walk, pause, walk, pause, it's walk, slightly halfway, pause, walk, slightly halfway, pause. For each direction?

I want to see how because it'd made walking look more realistic.
 
Now that you realized that everything's handled with scripts, it won't be long until you realize that 'is it possible' is one of the most redundant questions ^_^

Aynway, if I got you correctly, you want to change the number of the charset animations... if so, check this thread, which contains a neat and customizeable script doing exactly that. It also has comments on the edited lines, so you can perfectly compare it to the default!
