Played most of it -- up to the point where it became playable. I'll play the rest tomorrow.

Anyway, it seems to have a lot of potential so far. The graphics are pretty decent (although the blue trees seemed a little too bright, and there was a girl in the rioting crowd whose hair was even brighter), and I liked the bit where Trish beat up those Daugres (?). It was very smooth, and amusing to watch a fairy-like creature beat up someone else. ^_^ I also liked the revolution scene.
Phil's personality was pretty clear as well, without having to look at the character list.

The scenes didn't have a lot of relevance with each other though, other than the revolution and all that, making it easy to forget what some of them were about. Looking back at the character list, I realise that they were probably meant to introduce the characters, but aside from that, the scenes didn't have much of a point (While introducing a major character, it'd be better to make the scene relevant to the plot. While it introduced his personality well, watching Phil staring at the sky and wishing he'd get paid for "chilling out" doesn't have much to do with revolutions and all that, does it?). Additionally, the scenes didn't flow with each other very well, and the mood changed often between them (i.e. There was the darker scene with N'Zar [ I'm assuming it was her ], which suddenly switched to the more joyful scene in the bar). I'd also advise you to not to make an individual scene for each and every one of them. For example, you could've taken out Phil and Trish's scene and add them with Aubrey, since they were going to appear rather early anyway,

Anyway, keep it up, and good luck.

Wow Los Angeles... Lovely. :D I'm downloading the demo now. By the looks of it, it's top notch bull. I especially love the world map. How did you create that? *stares in awe*:-/

I played/watched up to the playable part too. :) I have to say that I was impressed with the visuals for the most part, and how detailed things were (e.g. door window lighting up). The use of fixed gradient fogs to simulate lighting effect were also a nice touch in my eyes. But you might want to change the event lighting to a bit more yellow-ish though, as it seems like burning right now. Very nice work overall. :> Keep it up!

The game also crashes when I bring up the menu. More precicely, it usually does. I managed to bring up the menu without crashing by first going outside the house, but that resulted into slowdown instead. I saved the game then, but I cannot load said save. There is a save file, but the game doesn't acnowledge it.

BTW, I'm glad the intro dialogues don't require any button presses. They are nice, but the second and third time I started a new game I was glad I could just leave and come back later.

Oh yeah that is a nice feature. However, if you don't press any buttons, the intro is over 10 minutes! :x It's a bit long...

I save obsessively (pretty much every chance I get), so that way if my game crashes or I get game over, I don't have to replay huge chunks of the game. That's why I wanted to save as soon as possible the moment I had control, because the intro, while pretty decent, was way too long for me to want to sit through multiple times.

I walked to the map south of the house, and it was missing an audio file. Can't recall the name though, will paste it here when I replay it.

Just a quick question: Is the error with the menu button fixed? When I tried to get to the menu screen an error appeared and ended the game.
