So yeah, its up. Im honestly not surprised in the least bit of the choices, but to be frank im a little pissed Star Trek didnt make the list. Besides that though, the rest was painfully obvious after those horrid GGs. So yeah, discuss, post guesses on your choices, rant, etc.

My pick:

Best Picture-The Hurt Locker
Best Director-Kathryn Bigelow (james camerons gonna win it though)
Best Actor-Jeremy Renner/Jeff Bridges (either or, im torn)
Best Actress- Meryl Streep
Best Supporting Actor-Christoph Waltz
Best Supporting Actress-Mo'nique

the rest i relly dont care about but as they come along ill make my choices. also WTF at Up being on the best picture list uhhhhh WHAT. the blind side too WTF is with the academy this year?

I wouldn't say I'm boned up enough on who played what in what to give picks for best actor/actress but The Hurt Locker def gets my vote for best picture. And Kathryn Bigelow should win too. That was a powerful movie with actual artistic value.

Everyone and their grandma KNOWS Avatar will win though. You know it, I know it. Face it, hollywood sucks Cameron's sweaty manchode, and he knows it too.

UP's probably going to win the Best Animated Feature, but imo I'd like to see something non-Pixar win it for one. (personally, I'm rooting for Fantastic Mr. Fox :toot: )

This pretty much sums up my own choices pretty well, but after the shitfest of the Golden Globes we all know what's going to happen. I wouldn't be surprised if Avatar won every goddamn thing it's nominated for, Sandra Bullock won over Meryl Streep, and Alec Baldwin somehow wins Best Supporting Actress. (j/k about that last one... maybe.)
