2 Question (condition and Input)

Well i've got two simple RGSS questions (for RMXP)
i searched the boards but didn't find anything. please help me!!

1) i need to know a long Input trigger command. not a simple "Input Trigger (B)", but something that lasts as long as the key is pushed/hold. with Input.trigger it does it 1 time, and i need it to be until i release the key. (hope i'm clear, not good with explanations Y_Y )

2) i need help with conditions:
when 2
      if $something is > X AND < Y
          do 1
    else
        do 2

i need help with the "AND" i don't know how to make it work, y tried && and "and" commands, but it's useless.
