[♫]Arcanum's Music Library

The new song is beautiful, not that I was all too surprised. My favorite is still your Fatal Struggle song though. Guess it just strikes my fancy. I'm considering making it my final boss song (which, speaking of which, You made the graphic for. Thank you again!). And by considering, I mean it may change if you happen to release an even more great sounding boss song XD

I was thinking about Pming this but I suppose I'll just post this here as I'm already messaging you here, but I recall looking forward to each and every of the games that you posting topics for, but I never saw any released! I looked for a topic for whatever you newest game is, but I can't seem to find one. If you don't have one, you should make one! I adore the graphical style you've been using.

 I don't know what to say here, except, well, excellent! :thumb:
Keep up the good work, this is perfect...
Edit: The battle themes also have a real epic feel to them!

@Eric: Final boss music? :) Awesome. And I might decide to try and top Fatal Struggle with something else just because you said that.

And...
As for the game I'm working on, that's somewhat under wraps at the moment, and the reason I don't have a topic for it yet is that I want to actually have a playable demo by the time I post anything official about it here. It's getting there, but the graphic work is still the most time consuming part, and I have to finish a half finished tileset before I'm ready to even start mapping some of the locations that will appear in the demo, not to mention a few more pieces of music to be written, characters to be sprited, enemies to be drawn. Let alone eventing scenes... Very little of the intro or story portions is actually finished being evented.

But I'm determined to release something, and unlike some of the earlier games I've worked on, this one I've managed to keep a pretty consistent quality of everything throughout, as opposed to what Hawke's Tale, Gaia Resurrection, and all the other various ideas I've had floating around had. That's the reason I never ended up doing much more on those projects, and never released anything. Neither of them had a really developed storyline either, to be honest, beyond their introductions, and I've been doing loads of planning and plot outlining for the new project. In other words, the story has much more direction.

Not to mention, this project is actually far from "new", at least in terms of story. I actually started writing about Xandopheii (the world in which the game takes place) around 7 years ago, though much has changed since then in terms of what the world is like, and what the characters are like. The main protagonist used to be called Mercuros, instead of Arcanum, actually. And the antagonist was your generic, cliche mad scientist with dabblings in the dark arts and weird curses reminiscent of things out of Princess Mononoke... I'm glad that's changed. :)

@King Red:
Awesome username, first off... and thanks. :)

@NeoSamurai: I'm going to have to play that game now... damn it.

These are pretty awesome, as usual. ;)

I've only gotten the chance to listen to a little bit of what's there. I really like Largecia Forest out of the 3 that I've listened to. Taste of Steel is nice too, though there's something strange about it... Perhaps there's not enough conflict and too much resolution in the piece. It's a good song, but I feel like maybe it would be awkward as a battle theme just because parts of it are almost peaceful.

I don't have time for a better review right this minute, but I'll probably be back...

Thanks Bullet_darkness. :)

Anyway, I just put up a new one, called Dark Fortress. It's sort of an "evil castle" sort of theme... Tell me what you think.

Awesome.

I will definitely use these, very well done, please share more. Love the music!

Edit: Oi, unwittingly necroposted...but it shouldn't matter. These tracks are very well done!

Amazing work man. These are incredible.
Your style is very similar to Hitoshi Sakimoto (FFT and FFXII).
Please add more.  :thumb:

Why does everyone thinks this is amazing. Just because it's very orchestral. I hate it, looks like Final Fntasy 12 boss music, and I hated that game, plus the music sucked.

In what way are you being constructive?  His music is actually lovely, mainly for the fact that each of his songs I hear they all sound unique and really fell like they would fit in a scene.  I hated Final Fantasy 12 too, but I don't hate Arcanums music portfolio... How SO!?

Really Good!

I will definitely find some place for these!

Keep up the awesomeness!

EDIT: You are allowed to use these in free projects, what about commercial? And also is it okay if we rename it as we use it for a slightly different purpose?
