Echo Falls is a Survival Horror Game being made with RPG Maker VX Ace. It takes inspiration from games such as Silent Hill, The Evil Within, F.E.A.R, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, and various other games of the genre. The game is set in the town of Echo Falls which vanished mysteriously in the late 70s only to reappear again without it. You take on the role of Angela Shepherd, a young college student who is also part of a paranormal investigations group. Angela and her friends manage to get past the town's quarantine, but what will they find?
Backstory
In the Winter of 1975, The Town of Echo Falls
seemingly vanished off the face of the Earth.
Everyone, everything, people, buildings, even roads,
vanished in the middle of the night as if they had
never been there in the first place..
The next day, large amounts of animal corpses were
found surrounding the area. The wounds and
lacerations on their bodies suggested that they
violently fought eachother until none remained.
Since then, animals avoided the area, even migrating
birds changed their routes.
The region was immediately put under quarantine by
the military and the event became widely known.
A few decades later, just as suddenly as it vanished,
Echo Falls reappeared, completely deserted. Things
still looked as if nothing had happened, making the
eerie ghost town all the more disturbing.
Characters
Angela is the protagonist of Echo Falls. She is an 18 year old
college girl who was mostly raised by her grandparents after
her and her younger brother were taken away from their
mentally unstable mother.
Amber is Angela's 19 year old best friend and another member
of their ghost hunter group. Her and Angela have been best
friends from a young age and when Amber became really
popular in high school, she never forgot to include her best
friend.

Travis is Amber's ex-con boyfriend who joined the group as he
saw it as another way to make money other than just selling
drugs.

JT is a friend of Travis and spends most of his time highly stoned.
He is a fairly peaceful and friend guy who usually tries to talk
Travis out of trouble.

Darcy is a very shy girl who joined the group as Amber and
Angela were the only ones to ever really talk to her. She prefers
reading and other quiet activities to big parties.
Branson is JT's faithful German Shepherd and more or less the
mascot of the group. Everywhere they go, Branson comes too.
The Afflicted

The Afflicted are the people of Echo Falls who were transformed
by whatever fate befell the town. While they might still look
human at a glance, up close their disturbing, blank white eyes
and greyish, discoloured skin says different. Though a select
few are still capable of speech, most just make animalistic
grunts, growls, and screeches.

Stalkers are heavily mutated afflicted with glowing red eyes,
brownish-red skin, toothed wound-like mouths on the top of
their heads, n wide, needle-toothed maws on their almost
featureless faces. Stalkers appear naked and display many
animalistic behaviours such as walking on all fours, making
animalistic noises, and sniffing the ground and air when
hunting prey.

Brutes are large, heavily mutated inflicted. They have pale skin,
wrinkled, wide, needle-filled mouths, and heavy appendages
where their hands should be, and large, acid-filled bellies.
