Zooming In (Non-SDK)

Okay, so basically, I am searching for a Non-SDK version of this:

While the SDK looks like it would be full of win, I cannot use it, as Atoa's Battle Engine doesn't play nice with the SDK, so there it is.

Any pointing in the right direction or assistance would be appreciated. This is not a mission critical thing, just something I would like to have.
