Not bad - competent recoloring. You can do this well - start frankenspriting! It'll be interesting to see what you can make.

Thanks much :]
Ah yes, I really should start to attempt some frankensprites. I have found a tutorial, so I'm going to read it and hopefully make some decent frankensprites :D

Nice job, keep up with the good work!

Frankenspriting isn't much harder than re-colouring...All you need is a program with layers, and the option to change opacities...and your all sweet.

Thanks :]
Yea, frankenspriting is pretty easy so far so that's good :D I hope to do some challenging frankensprites in the future.

Added:
  • 2 Zombies
  • 2 Bandit Warriors
  • Maid
  • Gypsy

@zenrdy
Hmm..I don't really see a problem with the head. But. I will look at it and see if I can make it look better :) Thanks.
Though now that I really look at the 4th frame, it kind of seems that the head sinks in too far..
Thanks zenrdy! I'll be sure to fix it as soon as I can.
Will probably edit it some time tomorrow.

I will try to fix it today :D Probably later though.
Update:
  • Added Gold Ball (Might desaturate it)
  • Added Large Coal
  • Desaturated Desert Harpy's skin a little. Looks much better now.
  • Added Blue Bandit & Gold Bandit to the Rainbow Bandits

I'm going to redo the 'Brown Haired Girl' so I took that one off for now. It just doesn't look right and I had rushed that one. I'll completely redo it and then put it back up  ;)

Do you really? :-\ I've done loads of Frankenspriting and never once opened up a new layer.

These look pretty decent Zammy. I'm a tad bit dissapointed that these are just recolours, however It's a good way to get into spriting.

Thanks Money  ;D
I've only just started, so, it will be a little while until I can make my stuff. Can't wait until I can though.
I've seen some of your work, Money, and it looks really good :] Hopefully I'll be able to make my own work some time soon. I need something a little more challenging.

One of my biggest inspirations is Venetia's work <3

For frankenspriting I do use layers, I use Photoshop CS2. But I only need 2 layers, 1 for the original body, and the 2nd layer for the new head or whatever it is.
Then I just delete what I don't want off the 1st layer.

Hey, looking good! More variations are never a bad thing. You did a nice job changing hues without distorting the contrast, and the values of color match well!

It's very pleasant to look at. Nice work! :D

Fair enough, I just don't believe It to be necessary to use Photoshop to do simple spriting. But I guess It makes It that much easier.

By the way, I didn't say It before but I love that Desert Shroom!

@Venetia
Hehe. That means a lot to me coming from you. Your work gives me a lot of inspiration. Thank you  :-*

I agree with you, but, it is very simple to do in Photoshop as you said. Plus, its one of the only programs I have besides MS Paint...and I really don't have the patience for recoloring in paint. Photoshop is much easier and faster  :P
But yea, I know what you're saying.

Aww yea. He's one of my favorites <3 I had made him special for my game, but i felt like sharing him  :P

Added:
  • 3 new Maids
  • Golden Knight

Sorry for the doublepost. But its been 72 hours so I figure it's ok. If it's not, sorry  :tongue:

Update:
Haven't really been working on anything lately. But I have a few new things.
Added:
  • Bronze Knight
  • Red Headed girl

I'm working on a whole mess of other knights, so those will be up soon. The silver one is almost finished.

I'm also thinking about recoloring some tilesets. Probably from the RTP. So keep an eye for those in the future  :cheers:
I'll try out recoloring one of the forest tilesets. I've always kind of liked those ones :]

Enjoy!

@Venetia
Woot. I see I'm not the only one who likes redheads  :lol:

@hayato
Thanks :] I'm really glad you like them.

@Bullet_Darkness
Hehe. You're welcome! I'm happy I could help  :smile:

Anyway. I've been working on that tileset. Not done yet. But it's getting there.
I'm hoping I can finish it this weekend :]
