Who are they kidding? They pretty much just took the exact style of the Characters designs from the late Castlevania games, then made it into an anime/manga. The damn show is even about vampires (in some way or another).
All they really did was add the old cliche 'conflict between Team A, and Team B', and set it in the future. The damn font for the logo/title/whatever is the spitting image of the Castlevania font (yeah, the same one that they've used for more than a decade).



Saying Trinity Blood didn't rip off their visuals from Castlevania is like saying long cat isn't loooooooonnnnnnng.

This is actually just a rant. (even though it's true)
In all fairness, I dislike anime, and love Castlevania. It's 5AM, and I've got nothing else to do.

._. Umm... can I ask why it matters? The anime and manga were based on novels. I don't think they were trying to fool anyone, maybe they thought the art style was nice and borrowed it or what not? But seriously, if you don't like it, then don't watch it.

Besides, I'm not all too sure, could you fill me in on which parts of the story are ripping off of Castlevania? (Except for the vampires, because omg, that is -just- Castlevania.)

Um...what?


Anyways, I'm not exactly a Castlevania buff, but so far, I see like, 2 similarities, and that's a male lead, and vampires....and then if that still means it rips off of Castlevania, I guess the original Dracula was ripped off by Castlevania...

Anything that directly rips off Dracula is infinitely cool, though.

Everything rips off of Dracula, it's boring. I'd rather see something along the lines of....Frankenstein....Young Frankenstein to be exact....


But I digress, I really don't see why you're so mad really. It's anime. It's gotta rip off of something. :-/

Maybe it's 'cause, you know, the person that does the art for Castlevania was a great inspiration to the anime team. Hell, they may even have been PART of the anime team.

it IS a good anime. (with major plotholes, i confess, but that would probably be solved if they *cough* translate the novels.. *COUGH*)

i didn't really notice a similarity between the art styles. and i'd know. i LOVE Castlevania. *hugs her desktop*
