It looks awfully flat on the sides, and overall it really does look a bit flat.

thats awesome. I love the cartoony walking how the legs fly out in front of him spread further. This template makes the sprite look bigger but still fit into RTP.

You animated it wrong, its supposed to bob up and down when he walks.

If you make a step.. your head isn´t at the same high as before the step.. so..please edit this effect to the charakter.

If he is walking up/down, his shoulders are moving.. but at moving left/right..nope..

while moving up, ther´s a graphic-mistake at below his head and above his torso..

Okay. I'll fix it. But I was looking in a mirror and, My head doesn't bob up and down. I must be weird... I only bob when I walk like a retard ^_^... But I'll fix it... It's just a few edits. I'll animate the Hair as well. on side and back views.

Well aside from what the other guys mentioned i think you're doing a good job on it so keep it up man, also when he's walking to the left the strands of hair on the background should should not come down so low, i think you should do something like this more or less.

In the template, may i suggest shorten the leg in the back? COz if seen in perspective, the farther leg should look shorter.. But the template doesnt show it...

Lol well it will be good practice at least, when you redo things it's sometimes for the better ^^, i have fixed the leg thing as well as improved some other things a bit, i will upload in a little while.
