XP: events during a battle without lagg.

I am trying to add some events during a boss battle, but the lag is awfull. I used a common event to show some text lines and to let hear a sound effect and a small screen shake. But it's impossible to use because of teh terrible lag. Can someone explain how i can add those events during a battle without lag?

You could try the anti-lag script but honestly for some reason XP just lags like hell when trying to put messages in battle processing.

All the anti-lag scripts are programmed to work on maps, not in-battle. I don't know how, but maybe a scripter could help you here.

k, i'll try a few more lag scripts, if that doesn't work, i'll post a script request. i think if someone is able to make that script, it could help a lot of people.

As far as I know there are no anti lag script dealing with this issue. This does not mean there are nothing to do against the message problem in battles.

In fact you can try to go to line 222 in Scene_Battle 1.
The line should be containing

    if $game_system.battle_interpreter.running?

Try change it to this:

    if $game_system.battle_interpreter.running? && !@message_window.visible

This change appears to significantly decrease lag when messages are shown in battles.



The section before:

  # * Frame Update
  #--------------------------------------------------------------------------
  def update
    # If battle event is running
    if $game_system.battle_interpreter.running?
      # Update interpreter

After:

  #--------------------------------------------------------------------------
  # * Frame Update

    if $game_system.battle_interpreter.running? && !@message_window.visible
      # Update interpreter

The lag is a little less now but it's still to much to not get irritated by it. Do you know how i can urther deacrease the lag? Thanks ^^
