Xilef Tries Some Origami

On my quest to find a hobby that will take my mind off being stabbed in the back by a girl who lied about loving me I, I managed to gain skills in cutting, folding, sticking paper and making it into cool shapes.

In it's complete form, the computer is 6x4.5x5cm, the keyboard is 0.5x7.5x2.5cm and the mouse is 0.5x1.5x1cm (All approx)
The computer has 24 folds, the keyboard has 10 folds and the mouse has 6 folds.
I think this looks very realistic in this photo, it's a Macintosh SE/30 computer if you can't tell, and I'm rather proud of it's outcome, especially after the trouble I had at the handle at the top, the folding got very messy there and so did the glue work.

Well origami traditionally is done by only folding.

Kirigami is done by only cutting.

But there's been a blend of the two types of paper art for centuries, and neither term exactly covers it. But I used to do that, too. I made animals, like grasshoppers and penguins. That's a very cute computer :'3

Heh, I used to do that kind of stuff myself awhile back(only 2-3 years) it used a lot of ink though, it was like make a template print it out, fold it together with the tabs, then tape. I was able to make some nice things like a castle, a cow, and a cell phone. If you want I could look on my hard drive and send them to you. I have to admit, that computer looks pretty nice:)

I used to have a bunch of books on it when I was a kid. Now I only remember how to make a stackable tower which you can play with via "the climbing monkey". . .

Isn't this what they call papercraft? I probably can't do something as small like this, my hands are too big and it's likely that I'll crush them before I finish the work lol Good job :)

I suggest putting something in the picture to help us with the size perspectives. Measurements really don't do justice to what I think the size is.

Great work by the way~! :)
