X marks the spot

So... I want to set on few first maps arrows to make important places or events more visible, some kinda "X marks the spot". But the tiles can't disappear when event is completed! And when I'm doing this via pictures, it's more shitty because pictures are always on top and when the screen is shaking in storm the pictures don't shake. And... I'm posting it here because it seems that it's not possible via events not using "show picture" and "erase picture". Any ideas?

You should try making the arrows Characters instead of part of the tileset, that way they can be used as event graphics and can be easily managed using switches.

OK me stupid i haven't seen the "Graphic" field so if no one would tell me about this i will mess up with pictures :> Thanks :>

If you notice at the top of the list for selecting a graphic for an event is the option, "Tileset". You can select an image from the tileset for your event.
